“Mabu is a neighborhood gem with intimate ambience, incredible food, and just a real sense of taste in everything from the decor to menu curation. It’s a French countryside vibe… and extremely affordable. BYOB helps. The sheppards pie, duck confit, ratatouille, and omg the BANANA PUDDING! I secretly don’t want to tell people about it, so it can remain in this state of perfection for my family’s personal use… but I also hope they stay open and need more foot traffic! Food takes a while to come… but so what? This place is for lingering and enjoyment.“

“To start out with Meadows Diner has a warm welcoming staff that makes you feel right at home. The menu had a lot to offer, from pancakes to steaks and seafood. Our waiter was quick to take our order and was on the ball bringing us hot meals and excellent service. We absolutely love the salad bar and the desserts. The food was delicious, with generous portions. Overall a wonderful 5 star experience. We totally enjoyed our dining out date night. We will be back for breakfast..“

“No offense to Oregon or Melrose (RIP), but Penrose has been South Philly's premier diner for many years! The food has always been excellent and the service top-notch! Take-out is fast and easy, especially when you call and order ahead. The diner is bright, clean, and spacious, conveniently located with lots of parking.“

“Went for dinner and had such a great meal! Loved the pickled greens beans that came with the bread. They had a lovely spice. Started with the Caesar & calamari. Both were so delicious. For mains, had the gnocchi in blush sauce and the chicken piccata. The gnocchi was incredible- pillowy soft & the sauce had great flavor. Loved the lemony freshness of the piccata and the crispy Brussels on the side. The tiramisu was sooooo good. The perfect ending to our meal. Can’t wait to go back!“

“You must order your food online ahead of time. We didn't know that, but no worries. We went to the park 10 minutes down the road and had a nice walk. It was an hour wait time, again no worries. They have a note up on the menu board letting everyone know about long wait times. The food was good. I really like all the plants they have, but the rest of the space felt unfinished. It's like a project started but never finished.“

“Went for Top it Off Brunch for my birthday and did NOT disappoint! Food was great and drinks were flowing. We sat on the heated patio which was great. The restaurant opens up as you keep walking back, much larger than originally expected. Our waiter was super attentive as well. Have done many bottomless brunches before and this one is in my top 5! For larger parties you have to call and the email the management but the process was seamless. Will be returning.“

“Excellent brewery in the area, solid list of different type of beers not just the 700 IPAs that the brewery around the corner offers. Food is fantastic, all priced extremely reasonable. Party of three with an app, dinner and several beers was around 100 bucks. Within walking distance of the Fillmore and Brooklyn bowl. My new favorite go to since liquid arts closed down“

“I really like the breakfast there.I get the 2 bacon egg and cheese biscuits.You can get other variations of them with sausage other stuff to.That meal is really good I always enjoy coming here.Always get my order really quick and the employees are always nice people.“

“Amazing little place. Got a flight of soups with warm rolls and a patty-melt. food was amazing, atmosphere was quaint, and the service was charming. I wish I had gotten there earlier so I could have tried on of the crab cakes, But its an excuse to go again“

“I love the outside seating of the train station! Today I sat down to eat for the first time at this restaurant. It was recommended to me by my mom and a few friends who had come in to eat. I had such a pleasant experience with the host who was so sweet and honestly gorgeous. We were quickly sat and greeted swiftly by our wonderful server. He was very helpful and friendly. We made great conversation in between questions with the menu. Overall, would recommend to anyone looking for breakfast or lunch! Will be coming back!“

“Great place to see Fat Mezz! This band is awesome and I love how while they are playing they are actually recording them so other patrons in the restaruant can see them playing on TV. We tried the wings with bada bing sauce and they were really great. The hamburger is good. All around a solid place to check out live music with plenty of parking. Another benefit is that it is ony 20 minutes away from center city philadelphia.“

“Great food, great sauce. Really good place for quick and easy food. The sauces are very good, and you have a good ammount of options to choose from. It’s also pretty cheap, for $10-$11 you can get rice,vegetables, and a lot of chicken. If you’re looking for something quick, easy, cheap, and good then come here. The service is also friendly and fast. I recommend this place“
