We came to the restaurant tonight for a friend’s retirement celebration. More than 20 of us and they were fabulous, start to finish. The food, service and location were exceptional! I’m including a picture of my tropical salad. It was art.

La Candela Gallega is an unassuming spot in a nice, safe area, offering the best Spanish food in the area. The menu features Spanish and Mexican cuisine, with a wide variety from street tacos to Spanish entrees. Dishes like the steak burrito, beef torta, shrimp burrito, chicken villaroy, chalupa, stuffed mushroom appetizers, and cheese enchiladas are all described as delicious, outstanding, and made fresh. The food quality is amazing, with ample portions at fair and cheap costs. The service is outstanding, classy, and professional, with personable staff who make guests feel at home. The dining room is festive but slightly subdued, nice but also hip, and impeccably clean. It is a place that feels better than any five-star restaurant.
