I had a casual dinner here yesterday after visiting this restaurant a few times in the past, but this visit was extremely disappointing.
We ordered the Chicken Tikka Sizzler and Goat Dum Biryani. After waiting about 25 minutes, the “sizzler” finally arrived. The chicken was clearly stale, tough, and difficult to chew. More surprisingly, it wasn’t even sizzling. When I pointed this out, the staff said they could simply pour some ghee over it to make it sizzle and bring it back, which completely misses the point of what a fresh sizzler should be.
The sizzler also arrived without the mint chutney or any accompanying sauce. The staff realized they had forgotten it, but it wasn’t brought to our table until about 10 minutes later—by then we had already finished eating whatever we can.
The Goat Dum Biryani was equally disappointing. It was the driest biryani I’ve ever had, lacking the moisture and flavor you’d expect from a dum biryani. The salan served with it was even worse and did nothing to improve the dish.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. The quality of both the food and service has declined significantly compared to my previous visits. It honestly feels like the management has changed, because this restaurant is no longer delivering the experience it once did.

One of the worst ever and poorly maintained restaurant. Pathetic service and very unfriendly customer service even during off peak /non busy hours. Food taste is ok and not super good… nasty restrooms, dining area…
Recommended dishes: Andhra Special Chicken Biryani
The food is really great! Tried couple biriyanis and no disappointment!
But the customer service is not great. There are extra charges for salad with appetizers which is not properly mentioned in the menu.

I ordered chicken & apolo fish to go, I was already tired just back from a long travel, after reaching home found the apolo fish to be very very solid and rough surprisingly it had few shrimps in it !!! Not sure if the fish is very old or already fried multiple times?!?! Then found some mutton pieces too in my chicken biryani, can’t eat the apolo fish with that kind! When I called up to give them the feedback they simply said I need to bring them to shop all the way back for them to replace simply not bothered to offer anything better, this is how our shops are ran not trusting the customers! For god’s sake don’t even buy here and complaint about food quality afterwards!!!!
This place feels a bit overhyped, probably because there aren’t many comparable options nearby. The flavors overall are decent — the gravies are good and the biryani rice itself has flavor. However, when it comes to the actual meat portions and quality, it feels like a waste of money.
I ordered the mutton sukka curry for almost $20 and got only 3–4 very small pieces that were bland and definitely not worth the price.
The chicken dum biryani was disappointing as well — very few pieces of chicken, and the chicken was overcooked and lacked flavor.
I’ve tried House of Biryani in nearby suburbs and honestly found it much better in terms of taste, quality, and value for money.
Overall, this place is average at best. It works only when you don’t want to drive too far, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

The food was good, but the service was extremely poor. The staff was slow, inattentive, and the overall service experience was frustrating. It is disappointing because the restaurant clearly has good food, but the poor service makes it hard to enjoy the visit. I hope management takes customer service more seriously.

I ordered appetizer and the chicken was smelling.. they are serving spoiled food and the guy who answer the call say's what we can do if chef prepare the food with spoiled one. This is the first time I wrote a review because of the reason how much bad it is.

Our Senior group went to this restaurant. We ordered Onion Pakoda (कांदा भजी मुम्बई स्टाइल) and Jalopeno Pakoda also, it's really so delicious and everyone enjoyed. Service was excellent.

I was disappointed with my recent experience. The biryani was served without onions, which had always been included in the past. When I asked about it, I was told that onions would now cost extra.
This is not about the additional cost,I can certainly afford to pay for it. It is about the principle. Removing a standard accompaniment and then charging separately for it feels unfair and exploitative. It gives the impression that customers are being taken advantage of under the guise of inflation.
I hope HBK does not start charging extra for raita and salan in the future as well. If standard accompaniments are being reduced or removed, then the price of the biryani should also be adjusted accordingly. Customers should not have to pay the same price for less value.

I’ve been a loyal customer for several years, often traveling from far away for both party orders and individual orders because of the restaurant’s food quality, taste, and customer service. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was very disappointing.
I ordered two chicken biryanis, naan, kadai paneer, and pepper chicken…all requested at medium spice. However, both biryanis were made mild and turned out to be nothing more than plain basmati rice with little flavor. It’s honestly ridiculous to serve that and call it biryani.
The pepper chicken was also not up to the standard I’ve experienced in the past. When I called to report the issue with the biryani, I received a very dismissive response. I was told it was a mistake and that they would “take care of it in the future.” That kind of attitude shows a lack of concern for customers getting value for their money.
After expressing my dissatisfaction, they offered a refund for one biryani only on a future order…but at this point, I have no intention of returning. It feels like customer satisfaction has taken a backseat to profitability with this new management…
I’ve also heard there may have been a change in management, which would explain the decline in quality and service.
Very disappointing experience overall.

Ordered Goat Dum Biriyani, one of the worst I had in NJ. Goat meat was rubbery and poor quality.
Kebab platter was OK, asked to substitute shrimp with other meat, that also was not done equally.
Poor service, , had to wait long time for the biriyani after the appetizer was served.
