High two, low three stars. Long wait time for food and then for boxes and check even though place wasn't busy. Kids meal is decent prices, though.
Great Jersey diner - good food, looks clean and good service. I recommend it. Menu spans breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. We had breakfast for diner.
I got a Greek salad here, usually a sure bet at a NJ diner for an excellent meal. It was almost all lettuce, and very expensive. I won't be back.
While it was a diner, it was MORE. Service was phenomenal. We had 20+ people and EVERY ORDER CAME OUT EXACT!

Matzo ball soup was very good but you could only get it in a large bowl, couldn't order a cup of it on the side of your sandwich. Pastrami not too good

We needed a place to get together after a game with a lot of people. The Colonial didn’t hesitate when I said 20 people. We came and they sat us in the back so we could all be together. Phil and Pedro were an amazing team. They organized our checks by family and all of our food came out hot, fast and delicious. So very thankful for this option in the area!

Went here several times a long time ago when there was a salad bar. Since then have been back a few times and every time gets worse. The quality of the food is ok at best, and the selection is limited compared to other diners. I hope it can remember its roots and what it used to be.

Classic New Jersey diner. Their French onion soup is out of this world. Not too salty and all the signs of being made from scratch.

Colonial Diner is a typical old fashion diner in regard to atmosphere. My husband had the lamb chop dinner which was really enjoyed. It was a healthy size serving. I had the vegetarian moussaka which was simply ok. Unfortunately the service was not good. Our waitress was too busy chatting with other customers and we had to ask her several times for napkins and mint jelly before she brought them over. The diner was not particularly busy.
