Absolutely delightful little delicatessan. Serving the community with top-quality fine foods since 1955, European Homemade Provisions is a must see! These pierogi are just like I remember.

My mom used to buy food here decades ago when Mike was the owner and the food was great. I haven't been here in a long time and decided to stop in today. Everything looked good I ordered a bunch of different items. I was disappointed when I asked for a container of marzipan I checked the expiration date at the register and it had expired. So I asked the lady how the other containers were. She said they probably were all the same. She seemed to get a little snarky. Maybe she was embarrassed. I asked for one of the larger containers and I checked and it didn't expire for a month, she seems surprised. The kielbasa was good the sauerkraut had a very odd sweet taste. The shrimp salad had way too much Dill and again a bitter taste. The Swedish meatballs which is what I was looking forward to we're in some kind of globby thick either fat or sauce that did not melt down when heated up they were very Bland as well. The chicken salad, which was my own fault for not checking has raisins and apples in it. If you like that it actually wasn't bad. I haven't tried the macaroni salad yet I'm hoping that will be good. I saw someone else on another post mention that there was no itemized receipt and there was a mistake. I saw one price on the register and after I got home and saw the notification on my cell phone with the charge it was $13 more than I saw on the register. So I find that odd but I really don't care to go back there again. So just make sure you check your pricing. The prices are very high in my opinion. Very disappointing. I suggest you drive down Route 18 to Heart of Europe Polish deli everything is fresh the pricing is accurate the food is delicious and the prices are comparable for the food.

Not honest business practices. Do not give itemized receipts, overcharged. The salesperson was not too happy with me returning and asking for correcting a mistake. The way this was handled from refusing a receipt and attitude makes me think this might be regular business practice in this store. Be careful, demand the receipts and check them!!! Also prices are very high considering quality and variety (very poor) of products.

Great European Place ....But no prices on the items for sale in the non deli section !..No receipt was given ...I will not go back there..Hang on to your wallet...

This place makes the best sandwich in Central Jersey. You can quote me on that.

Recently I went out of my way to try out this "Europen Style" deli and was very disappointed with the quality of my purchases and their high prices, and therefore will not be returning. 9/17/2023
