Sakana Sushi & Japanese Cuisine offers a great dining experience with delicious and fresh food, including sashimi and sushi. The restaurant has a decent selection of vegetarian options and can accommodate dietary restrictions. The service is professional and kid-friendly, though the ordering process may be different, utilizing a paper menu that can be reused during the meal. Customers recommend making a reservation in advance, especially on busy nights. The restaurant is well known for its all-you-can-eat sushi and food options, which are priced reasonably at $32-$35 per person. Diners can enjoy a wide variety of dishes, including hot and cold appetizers, ramen, and fried rice. The sushi is consistently fresh, and the staff is attentive. The interior is very cool, and the food comes out quickly. Some days, the quality may vary, but overall, it remains a popular spot for sushi lovers. The restaurant is considered a "hidden gem" for its good food, ambiance, and affordable prices, even in challenging economic times. The shrimp skewers are highly praised, and many appreciate the slightly warm sushi rice when prepared correctly. However, some items like sashimi can be cut poorly, and freshness may vary on certain days. Customers are advised to smell everything before eating and be aware that spicy salmon and tuna may not be the best. Despite some fluctuations in quality, the restaurant remains a favorite for many seeking an all-you-can-eat sushi experience in Jersey.
