We've purchased food here for years but it ends today. The jerk chicken, rice and peas with a side of spinach was terribly salty. I get the idea of jerk being spicy but even the rice and peas was.
Upon realization that there was heavy hand of sodium of my wife to advise. That didn't go well. Apparently customer satisfaction is not on their list of priorities. The employee responded to her complaints with argumentative denials, told her he is not the cook, he can't answer to her complaints (notwithstanding his argumentative denials) and she should call the owner tomorrow.

Save your money, don't go there, they have bad attitudes like today I asked for two curry goat and they gave me water down curry juice they knew the curry goat wasn't done so why selling me food that's not finished cook all the way people work hard for their money and you selling people uncooked food.

Great food terrible service. Makes their own prices up and want you to make a minimum on card. Eggball is 5$ that is unreasonable for east orange area

Today I went to this restaurant for which i think over all is a great place to go and get you some genuine carribean good food. However there is this woman NOT I REPEAT NOT Ms.Maghie. whom served me I'm carribean too but I'm from another island and I didn't know how to order Roti bread. My husband had ordered some a few days before and it was great it was spicy. So I was excited and went for more. She asked me which one I wanted and I let her know I wanted the spicy roti bread anyways she gave me the plain one when I arrived at home I realized the mistake it was a honest mistake. I truly believe that. I called to explain what happened and she said; the mistake was mine. I'm very quick to accept my mistake when it happens but this one was not mine maybe a language barrier although I speak English very well. She ask that I return and so I did. Upon my arrival she was asked to come out and help me and she flat out refused stating she was busy and somehow I became the joke of their topic. I felt bad. It was a mistake Now I'm afraid to go back to a restaurant I enjoy going to for many years. For their wonderful food. We have to stop taking things to heart. Well when you return to this place remember I still believe they are one of the best carribean restaurants to go to. Thank you.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. I came in when there was absolutely no line at all, ordering food for myself and my boyfriend. Some of the items I originally wanted weren’t available, so I had to adjust my order while confirming with him over the phone. The older man at the counter was impatient and actually told me to “know my order next time before coming up to the counter.” I did know my order, but the restaurant not having everything I wanted forced me to make changes on the spot. He also didn't advise to take my entire order first then make it.

What shocked me most is that instead of showing patience and professionalism, he blamed me—saying customers complain about long lines online. How is that my fault? There was no line at the time, and even if there was, it should never be the customer’s responsibility to solve that issue. If long wait times are a problem, the restaurant should look at their system and operations, not take it out on paying customers.

The way I was treated felt dismissive and honestly, like bullying. As a customer spending my money here, I expected better. Unfortunately, the service left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning. If I do return I will not be coming alone anymore.

I have purchased my Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner from here the food is on point! Freshly baked bread, bake, cakes and many other caribbean pastries!

Kid-friendliness: My kids walk in there alone and they too are treated with respect.

Wheelchair accessibility: The doors are wide enough for a wheelchair to fit through the entrance.

I have been going here for many years. I love their food. Caribbean, Guyanese, cuisine with a variety of 😋 Yummy selections. Curries, oxtail, goat, roti, dahl puri, soups and stews just to name a few. Maggie and the rest of the staff are just amazing.

I wouldn’t recommend going here they move extremely slow and don’t respect other people time there’s no way I should’ve been waiting longer than 10 minutes when they’re just putting food together

She waited until she completed my order to tell me the minimum to use apple pay was $15… as a student who is spending $15 on breakfast in the morning.
