My experience on 3-13-24 wasn’t pleasant I purchased an oxtail meal with rice and peas. Upon getting home within 10 minutes I discovered my food smelled sour, possibly the rice may have been the problem,I immediately called the restaurant to discuss my disappointment a female staff answered and suggested next time I came to the restaurant to remind her to give me rice, I felt like she was being dismissive and not dealing with the situation as a whole, it’s dangerous to serve/sell foods that are expired, how are we as a community supposed to support black own businesses when they don’t value and respect us and have our best interests at heart.

I am so disappointed in this business and their Racism. On December 24th I went to pick up an order of 50 wings and they said they were not ready, so I sat and waiting for an hour and a half then I said I had to go so I paid the order and said to call me when the order is ready to pick up. Once I am walking out I hear the lady say "leave hers for last" I didn't think anything of it because I am thinking as long I get it tonight its fine. Two hours later I get a call and they said they ran out of wings!!!!! There were 4 other people there and I was the only Hispanic there. They all got their orders. EXCEPT ME!!! It was so late I didn't have a replacement for the chicken to celebrate Christmas Eve which is the day us Hispanics celebrate it. It was so unprofessional and I felt Racism against me.

This is one of my favorite places in East Orange. The food is delicious! I’ve had most of the dishes on the menu. They don’t serve any pork which is a definite plus for me. It’s take out only. The wings are the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve many a wing in my day. I l❤️❤️❤️ their macaroni salad, and cabbage. I think the veggies can be seasoned a bit more and the oxtails cooked longer so they will more tender. Overall, they serve good food and I will always return.

My hubby wanted to cater food for the family on Saturday 28th 2023. He got oxtail, mac and cheese, cabbage, rice and beans, fried chicken and turkey wings,baby nothing survived ?. I couldn't believe how good the food and service was. I also already been back and tried the Italian steak and cheese and again ?. So I don't usually give feedback like this,but I had to also let people know how good it is. Hard to find good black owned restaurants.

Ordered a big amount to eat with family coming into town for the day. Menu had everything we needed. I paid a deposit and asked to have food ready for a specific time. I came back and it was hot and ready! Everyone killed it. Delicious. Full of flavor. Well packaged. Reasonable price. Beautiful plate ??Will return again.
