Food is good and owner is friendly!
GAVE ME RAW FOOD!!!!! NOT COOKED, & WAS RUDE ABOUT IT ONCE I COMPLAINED.
Very good soul food spot with a lot of BANG for your buck. I'm very picky with take out soul food, but every thing that I've gotten from Sunny's has been very good. Every platter comes with either rice (yellow or white) and two heaping sides and they're very generous with the gravy on top if requested....starting at just $5!!!! Forget your 4 for 4s and just come get a real meal. Seriously.
Black lives matter, however its hard sometimes to try and patronize black owned businesses. I went by Sunny's Cafe at 155 Sandford Ave,EO,NJ at 1:45 pm today there was an open sign on the door, lights on but the door was locked. I knocked also no one answered so I left. At 4:48 I had planned to go back so I called to see if they were open. When the female answered,(I won't call her a lady because she wasn't acting the part.)I asked are you open today, her response very nasty "I answered the phone didn't I?" I attempted to explain why I asked that question, her response was they have deliveries to make and that they leave a note on the door. There was not a note present. Rather than argue with her I hung up. I can't rate the food because I didn't get to taste it,however,if this attitude was any indication of how I would be treated in person I don't think I want to find out. 07/26/2016
There food is delicious. All fresh, nicely seasoned and great service. I wasn't waiting long and the chain was beautifully decorated.
