H Mart American Dream

Expensive

Nice-sized H Mart. Wasn't grocery shopping since I was traveling, but I did pick up some adorable cat bibs — labeled for dogs, but they look perfect on cats.

The cafe is spacey and clean. Visited on a weekday so it wasn't crowded. Food is very expensive. I bought a can of coke and spam musubi that was a little under $20. I don't remember the name of the stall but it sells different musubis on the left side. H Mart itself was just okay. There were no selection of meats except marinated meats. Fruits that I bought were already bad or going bad. I bought longans, donut peach, and Asian pears. The only thing good was the Asian pears.

Worth every dollar I spend and well made.

Great place for food!

I love the H Mart in Paramus, so I decided to give the location at American Dream a try since they have more restaurants. The American Dream store definitely carries a larger variety of items and you can find more of the viral and trending Asian products there, with more flavor options and unique selections.
However, prices are noticeably higher, which I assume is due to the mall’s expensive rent. While it’s a good spot for Korean and other Asian pantry items, I wasn’t very impressed with the produce, meat, and seafood sections. For overall quality, freshness, and value, the Paramus location is still much better in my opinion.
Overall, the American Dream store is nice for specialty or hard to find items, but Paramus remains my go-to for regular grocery shopping.

price is higher, options are fewer, parking is an nightmare

I just bought this ice cream right now, ate one bite and almost puked.
I look at the expiration date and it was expired from 2022!!!!!! IT IS 2026!
And this was the first ice cream to the front of the freezer, and not hidden at all.
How do they not check expiration dates at a food store?
Do not come here! It’s not safe for the customer!

be aware! They are selling EXPIRED products it is Jan 30,2026 and I went to hmart and bought this ice cream and almost puked. I realized the expiration date is from 2022!!!

Great experience, I love shopping in a grocery store in a mall. I hope Hmart in Edison have these Fanta soda flavors because I usually don't see them.

This store is located inside the American Dream Mall 2nd floor. If you are already in the mall and just grabbing a few items, go for it, otherwise go to the other HMart location. It is so over-priced, small & they do not validate parking. If you plan on coming here ONLY, hit the other location. If you are here for the afternoon, by all means it is worth the convenience.

Hmart located in American Dream is great! It located in a mall so whenever I go to American Dream, I will go here to get some items.

I bought two packages of ice cream mochi that were different flavors. Both were completely freezer burned and were disgusting. Location is difficult to get to so couldn’t return them. Waste of money and they weren’t cheap.

There is a very rude saleswoman at the checkout.

Please teach me who stands at the cash register and greets customers.
