I would say it's a solid 4.25. Food selection ranged from sandwiches to entrees, each with generous portions. Main bar area as views of the TV, upper balcony can host a party, back restaurant and outdoor deck more relaxed and less noisy. Nachos used a hot dog style chili. Wings were tender but not as crisp as you would expect. Cocktails are the highlight of Union and the convience of being next to the Rutherford train station.
Came here from Astoria to get a bite before the Morocco v Brazil game. Wonderful service, great drinks and great food. The owners are awesome! Will def come back the next time I’m in Jersey.
The fried calamari was probably my favorite dish. The batter was light and crispy, the squid tasted fresh, and the pink dipping sauce was honestly addictive. Portion size was great too.
The lemon shrimp rice was also surprisingly good. At first the lemon flavor felt a little strong, but after mixing it together, the flavor became really balanced, creamy, and flavorful. The rice was perfectly cooked and the shrimp tasted very fresh with no fishy smell at all....
