Golden Seafood Restaurant Reviews
My mom, my uncle and I came in to eat yesterday around 12pm for Dim Sum. The service was horrible. The food was disgusting. The atmosphere was horrific. We were rushed in and out. No one came over to ask what food we wanted and we had to ask for something.
When we went to pay, someone was paying and they didn't leave a tip bc she had the same issue we did. BUT than a worker ran out after her and MADE her leave a tip.
Who makes someone else leave a tip? Talk about...read full review
Horrible service. Called ahead for pick up and still had to wait in the restaurant for an hour for it to be ready
It was one of those days that I was craving for Dimsum and a friend recommended this place for the family. It was a drive to get there but it was worth it. It didn’t disappoint! We did enjoy all the food we ordered. We made the kids try chicken feet too and actually enjoyed it! Definitely will be coming back. Love the wide open space, huge tables, the food served quick, the price is affordable. If you travel around Edison, New Jersey, this is one place you can go to. Enjoy!

Golden Seafood Restaurant is a Cantonese restaurant that offers a variety of Chinese dishes. The restaurant is known for its delicious food, including lobster Cantonese style, honey walnut shrimp, and yung chow fried rice. Weekend dim sum service is also available, making it a popular spot for families. Customers appreciate that the dim sum staples are flavorful, with specialties like pineapple buns with egg yolk custard and calamari being particularly well-executed. The dim sum is always fresh, and textures are correct, although some dishes like the radish cake and shu mai are lighter in flavor. The restaurant has a lively atmosphere, especially during busy hours when more fresh items and a wider selection are available. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring quick service and sometimes even asking the chef to prepare dishes that have run out, which adds a special touch. The private room in the back is suitable for large parties, and the main dining room is spacious. Many visitors find the food consistently tasty and the service friendly, making it a family-friendly place to enjoy authentic Chinese dishes. Although there is a line during peak times, it moves quickly, and the experience is worth the wait. Golden Seafood Restaurant is a favorite for weekend dim sum, with a reputation for quality and friendly service. The restaurant also hosts events like wedding banquets, serving large groups successfully with timely and quality dishes. The environment includes welcoming decorations like a Japanese beckoning cat and a laughing Buddha, creating a cheerful atmosphere. Customers can enjoy a variety of dim sum dishes such as shrimp dumplings, pork and mushroom siu mai, mini sticky rice wrapped in lotus leaves, steamed spare ribs, beef cheung fun, and shrimp cheung fun, all praised for good consistency and taste. Facilities are clean, and service staff are attentive, promptly handling seating, plate clearing, tea refills, and bills. Although some popular desserts like mango pudding, almond pudding, and coconut pudding are often unavailable early in the day, ice cream provides a sweet alternative. The private karaoke room offers a fun option for groups. Prices are generally high, reflecting current inflation and tariffs, and some condiments, like soy sauce, are affected by tariffs as well. Overall, Golden Seafood Restaurant remains a busy, family-friendly destination for authentic Cantonese cuisine and weekend dim sum.
