A warmer welcome to Dickey’s with a smile would make a world of difference. Walk in the door and before you can even look at the menu, it’s a rude “can I help you?” It’s obvious just coming to the store annoyed the cashier because she had better things to do like texting on her phone at the counter. My boyfriend and I visited Dickeys on Sunday around 4:30 pm. There were few other options for food in the area. This restaurant mimicks a southern BBQ dive bar. There is wood decor, they were playing country music and I could smell the wood fire stove. The cashier was kind, quick and helpful. I ordered a two meat meal (pulled pork, brisket, green beans, mac and cheese, texas toast) and my boyfriend ordered the brisket sandwich with mac and a drink. The food was delicious.
