I highly recommend City Tavern in Elizabeth, NJ! Every visit is a great one. The food is always delicious no matter what we order. We're never disappointed. This place was great. Came here on a Tuesday night. It was 7 of us. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. We got table side guacamole and a bunch of apps and a bunch of beers and drinks and eventually some steaks which were all perfectly cooked. Would definitely come here again.

Being from out of town, we didn’t know what we were doing. Stumbled in City Taven and OMG it was 10/10. The service was amazing and friendly, and the food was so delicious to boot! If I’m ever wonder n Newark region again, I will surely come

I went with my mom and son last evening and asked the waiter if they make spicy margarita and he said no. He didn't even check with the bartender. The drink menu lists varieties of margaritas but they couldn't make a spicy margarita which by the way is a common drink. The vodka and cranberry drink my mom ordered was served in a little glass cup full of ice. We decided not to order food and left to dine elsewhere. Will not return.

2/24 great food, amazing service, and the best company a girl can ask for. Chicken with garlic sauce was delicious skirt steak seasoned just right, sides were just as good! Will definitely be back soon, maybe with the smaller Sangria
