VERY DISAPPOINTED WE HAD A GIFT CERTIFICATE AND WHEN WE WENT TO PAY THE MANAGER STATED HE COULD NOT HONOR IT BECAUSE THEIR SYSTEM WAS RECENTLY UPDATED AND WAS NOT ACCEPTING THE GIFT CARD, THAT WE COULD GO TO THEIR NORTH BERGEN RESTAURANT AND USE IT THERE!! I was like you are kidding us he was like "SORRY" but we cannot honor it!! I was not ready to cause a scene because of my morals and values!! But I will never (and not recommend that RESTAURANT to anyone!)step foot in that restaurant again! TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED AND I WILL EVENTUALLY GET THE MONEY THAT WAS PAID FOR THE GIFT CARD ONE WAY OR ANOTHER! He didn't even try to at least accommodate us in anyway! It's funny how they can take your money with no problem but cannot even show some kind of empathy to the situation! What if we didn't have the cash to pay for the meal!! THEN WHAT?????? SHAME ON YOUR MANAGEMENT TEAM FOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

The sides felt like they were sitting under a lamp - yuca fries and tostones were tough. The meat was not very juicy or flavorful despite being cooked at medium temperature. the sauces came in packets like the ketchup packets you get at a fast food restaurant - not something you would expect for th price they charge. Go somewhere else in the area - there are a lot of Colombian restaurants nearby!

Upon arrival we were seated however when the server arrived to take our order he was arrogant and seemed like he was in a bad mood, there creating an unwelcoming environment, I doubt I will visit this restaurant again

The place is very nice, the service is good but. But let me tell you that the food was very bad. I ordered a dish and I had to send it back twice, even though the food was very, very bad.

Rancho Mateo has good food. The service was fair. The environment was great! Live music! However, the patio section, where our table was, needed some shadow or sunlight filter. It was hard to fully enjoy with the sun shining right on our faces.

I do not recommend this restaurant, although the first time I went it was pleasant. This second time they left us waiting 40 minutes to sit down because they had seated us at a table where it was cold. Afterwards the waiter had a horrible attitude. During the time we were there the music was too loud, it was difficult to talk to those at the same table.
Finally, when we asked for the bill we paid by card, and he brought me two detachable bills without the bill, and I added the tip. After I realized that the tip was already included, I went back to get the bill back and correct the error.

I have visited this place several times and I have always liked the food, the atmosphere and the service. However, we had an uncomfortable experience. We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and, while waiting for our table for 15 people, we asked to sit at another table for a drink, but were denied even though there were more than 10 empty tables. The host Valentina tried to help us and seemed embarrassed, but “John León” simply refused without explanations or even looking at us.
I like the place, but these types of attitudes affect the customers' experience, especially at special moments.

I ordered 3 rib broths, and I ended up with my family in the hospital for poisoning, the food was damaged, their solution was to send another soup just as damaged as the previous ones.

I was there with my friends for the first time we had a really bad experience unfortunately when we ordered the food one of my colleagues was waiting for his food for 40min. We ask the waiters where was the food and they answered with an attitude saying it was coming I felt bad for my colleague who was waiting for his food most of the people that served us were not professional I also don't recommend this places specially if you're going with a few people and try to ask for separate tickets the waiter was so nasty and told us we can send it to each other through Zelle just because they didn't want to do their job and do separate tickets for each of us .well after that we decided to make a payment with two cards and split the payment they end up charging the 2 cards that night and days later my friend told me that they charge the full amount on her card we end up calling the back to see what happens they shouldn't be charging to a card after days without authorization I'm sorry for the people that go there is not worth your money I would not recommend it!!!
