While Korean food has become increasingly popular in the U.S. over the past decade, it feels like most options skew toward two extremes: fast food (chicken, 떡복기, ramen, etc.) or rarefied Michelin experiences with impossibly competitive reservations. The Plating offers a much-needed middle ground. All the dishes are readily recognizable to anyone who's grown up with traditional Korean food and flavors, but they're executed in a refined, precise, and intentionally...
Beautiful, calm ambience with excellent food quality. I treated my parents to a lunch here and they were very complimentary. They especially appreciated how quiet it was (no clattering noises or loud chatter). The dishes are served on individual trays - very nice presentation. Everything looks as good as it tastes. Service was impeccable as well. Highly recommend!
The place was clean, smelled nice, and the interior decor was pretty. However, the menu was very limited. Even among the few items listed, several were unavailable—whenever we asked for one dish, it was out, and when we asked about another, that was also unavailable.

Overall, the experience was just okay. Considering the portion size and taste, the prices felt expensive. For similar dishes, I would rather go to Pyeongandong in Fort Lee.
