“Being an avid fan of Caribbean food especially the island food that is from Jamaica and Trinidad and also the fact that I'm a New Yorker. The stage is always set up to get the best Jamaican food. From Queens to Brooklyn and of course Manhattan many Jamaican restaurants claim to be the best and quite a few of them are true to their claim. I work in lake Hopectong area and while driving through the town of Natcong, a small town in Morris County, I saw a sign saying Mini Eagle Diner. Being a big fan of Americana it caught my interest but when I saw underneath the sign Jamaican cuisine, I had to do a double take.... an American diner with Jamaican cuisine,,????. What foodie would not stop for that proclamation alone. So I stopped and all else is a fairy tale tailored for food aficionados. This is a magical place for Jamaican cuisine and The magician's name is James. He is the king of his domain. Without any hesitation I dare to say after tasting many of his creations I have come to believe that I never had the real Jamaican food before. Don't miss out jerk pork and chicken, oxtails so lean , so decadent and all this melts in your mouth. James is a great personality to converse with too. He has stories that will get Irish boatmen attention. A homemade smoker den in the backyard of the restaurant with outdoor seating are true surprise of this tour of his castle. James calls himself a magician and so be it. You have to get out there to experience it yourself. I believe if you can guess his age right, he will award you with a sliver of his homemade rum raisin cake, made of centuries old family recipe.. don't worry if you feel stupefied thinking perhaps it's the rum, ..,.. it's definitely the spells he graciously puts on his customers and somewhat unapologetically... Long live the King.... I shall visit your court soon!!!“

“I think this is my second or third review of Azzurro. My wife and I live in the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania and drive 42 miles to Peapack at least twice a month (although this week we were there twice) to dine at the best Mediterranean/Italian restaurant in N.J. We have several Mediterranean/Italian favorite restaurants in N.J. All run by Albanians. However, Azzurro is just a touch above the others. The quality of food is outstanding (Rigatoni Azzurro and Eggplant Parmigiana are standouts) with all entrees cooked to order (pasta true al'dente). Prices are very reasonable with excellent desserts priced at $7. The servers are total professionals and attentive. The restaurant is roomy, clean and have nice paintings on the wall. And to top it off, it's BYOB. We just love the place. We have not met the owner but have repeatedly pleaded with the servers to tell the owner to open a restaurant in the Lehigh Valley or at least closer to Pennsylvania. Bob and Linda“

“Al Pastore tacos on tasty homemade tortillas. The pork was flavorful but a bit tough and dry. Served with creamy/chunky fresh guac, onion, and cilantro, yes, but cheese?? why? No lime or radish. Three fresh and flavorful salsas of varying spiciness and saltiness with tortilla chips that were fresh but a bit overcooked. Excellent margarita mix to combine with byob tequila. One server was smiling and friendly, if largely hands-off, the other grumpy and brusque..“

“The burgers were ok,nothing special being I'm a butcher. The service was superb!!It's a nice place for date night with your wife or girlfriend,it's laid back! One thing that bothers me when we go out is everything still over priced!!This inflation is out of control, this dinner should have cost about $45.00 including TIP.They say things are getting better, where I ask??Things were so much better beforeParking: leaving the pub is a bit difficult pulling out onto traffic!“
