Market Roost Restaurant, Catering & Bakery

The owner told us we are not a fast food restaurant and expect to wait. And we did. They don’t have waiters or waitresses. You have to get your own drinks and place your orders at the counter. Staff was friendly but seemed overwhelmed. They needed more help. Food was ok, my son-in-law didn’t like his corn beef hash and the burned my daughter’s pancakes. My eggs Benedict was mediocre.
We won’t be back. Everything was served on paper plates, even paper soup bowls.
Not worth the $40 per person we paid.

Stopped in for the first time yesterday to have lunch with a friend after shopping at The Groovy Collective across the street. We were referred by the store owner to try Market Roost and it did not disappoint! I had the focaccia sandwich, which was delicious and my friend had the baked croissant with Brie/apples and loved it! Very friendly owner and relaxing atmosphere, I will definitely be back!

Been going to Market Roost for many years. The food, coffee, and desserts are always good. Really like the quesadillas. Quality ingredients and preparation. I like going places where the food is made in a way that I can't make it. Yes the service is a bit slow, it's not fast food and the quality shows in the food. Friendly staff. Go visit! Especially if you can spare the time to sit back, relax with friends and savor a good non-rushed coffee, tea, and meal....while you watch the town of Flemington scurry by.

Very rude and disrespectful service, I was the only person in the restaurant and it took 20 minutes to get service, food was gross and awful really needs to be checked by the FDA.

If you want to have great service and great food DO NOT come here! We looked in and it seemed like a good place to check out, and so we entered and patiently waited to be attended to. We did not know it at the time, but we were making a BIG MISTAKE!

While we were waiting, which was more than 10 minutes, we noticed there was someone that had been waiting before we got there for someone to take her order. Apparently no one had ever acknowledged her or taken her order.

Eventually, after she gave up and left, we noticed noone was acknowledging us or taking our order. This was very disappointing.

Then another couple came in and the support staff immediately recognized them, took their orders, and had a friendly conversation with them before they completed their order and helped them to the table.

During all of this time the wait staff acted like we were NOT EVEN THERE!

That was the last straw.

We walked OUT!

Sad. The food looked like it might have been good.

Have been here many times for the food, but recently ordered my wedding cake from Market Roost. It turned out both delicious and beautiful- everyone loved it and we were so happy with our choice!

Ordered take out and the food was awesome! It wad a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Try the scones!!

Such a cute place! We tried the key lime tart and my sister mentioned it was the best she’s ever had. My mom got an iced coffee and liked it. The service was very welcoming and I enjoyed looking at all the baked goods and pictures of cakes they had. Hope to come back and try some more things! ?

When entering we were told “it’s not fast food” and we needed to be patient. It was almost an hour later until we got our brunch. The food was good but NOT for the price. My beef hash with two soft boiled eggs and toast and small fruit was $22.50. For that wait and cost I would have thought we would have been served in china not paper!

The atmosphere and food are always fabulous! The brunch menu has so many great choices. Food is very fresh and prepared to order so the wait is well worth it. The baked goods are also superb. And, the owner is wonderful! Thank you!

Met some friends for lunch here yesterday. The owner/staff was so friendly. The food was fantastic (great coffee too). I brought a piece of the flourless chocolate cake home, and it was to die for!!! 🙂
