Stayed a few nights in 2016 very friendly check in, good food, nice room special thanks to the girl who helped me out I think it was Dawn I was there for a funeral so kinda hazy , I rode in on my Harley and open parking wasn’t a problem
The Standard at the American Hotel is a cool little gem in Freehold. The menu has a solid variety, and the seafood really stands out. I met up with an old friend and we shared an oyster tower and the burrata, both excellent.
Our server, Rose, really knew the menu and made great recommendations for both food and drinks. She even helped tailor a surf and turf for us. The lobster was outstanding and the steak was just as good. Everything had great flavor and presence.

If you're craving a burger, then this is the place for you! We happened to come on a night when they were offering bogo burgers and they definitely did not disappoint. We got a brie cheese pastry appetizer that was delicious and our cocktails were excellent too! Our server was so helpful with recommendations. This is the perfect place for date nights or even for dinner with coworkers. We all left full and happy!
