First time here and a MAJOR shout out to kelly she literally made us feel so welcome and at home. I could literally see myself coming here every Friday for beer and pool. Omg I loved it here. If you haven't stopped here you have to!

Extremely Disappointing and Unprofessional Experience
I went to this sports bar this morning with a friend to watch an English Premier League soccer game. The bartender, Kelly, was very nice and helped us put the match on around 11:30 a.m. Everything was fine for about an hour, until the owner came in — an older man, probably in his 60s — and completely ruined the experience.
With about 30 minutes left in our game, he came over and said he needed to switch the channel to a different football game. Keep in mind, there were around six TV screens in the bar, and we were only using one. Without any real apology, he just changed the channel and took over the screen we were watching. A few of his friends or regulars had just arrived, and it was clear they were the priority.
We were shocked. It felt rude, dismissive, and honestly discriminatory. We weren’t locals, and it seemed like if you’re not part of their usual middle-aged crowd or watching American football, your presence doesn’t matter. No one warned us that they might take over the TVs, and it was handled in the most inconsiderate way possible.
If you’re a soccer fan or just someone expecting fair treatment, do not go here. They clearly don’t respect all customers equally and only care about their regulars. I’ve been to many sports bars, but this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

Had an emergency and my significant other was not answering his cell phone. Called the bar and at first the woman that answered was very nice, even went outside to hear me, until I asked for her assistance in locating him, then she got very rude and said she couldn’t help me and hung up on me! Hope she’s never faced with a similar situation.

I went to the Sportsman Tavern for the first time last Sunday. Our friend Mark is a regular and has been telling my husband and I about the Sunday prime rib sandwich. The sandwich was so juicy and tender the best I ever had. It was served with a spicy sauce that was equally delicious. The place was packed with customers watching the Sunday football games. The atmosphere was that of a typical local tavern/bar. I can’t wait to go on a Monday to check out the seafood special. If you haven’t been to this little gem I highly recommend you check it out.
