Raised in NYC, I've had my share of banging bagels and have pretty high standards for them. Could not be more delighted to discover Goldbergs! Their bagels are large, with a thin outer shell that toasts nicely, and fluffy moist inside. You can tell they're good just by looking at them. I used to come here a lot, the bagels themselves are delicious but unfortunately the past couple months the ppl working seem to have stopped taking pride in their work. Messing up orders, second time in a row they didn't bother to cut the bagel in half or toast it like I asked. U pay 15$ for a lox bagel u expect it to be cut in half properly like it's all weird I'm not sure how they even did this tbh lol. Always a solid experience here. The bagels range from very good to excellent. I think it depends on who is making them that morning, but I often get deep brown crispy shelled bagels with light, fluffy interiors with good chew--the way they should be.
