Based on the reviews, Elsie’s Burgers and Shakes is a small shop with a family business vibe. The food is amazing, with one customer saying they had one of the best cheeseburgers they ever had. A double cheeseburger with fries was made with fresh ingredients. The burger was delicious, perfectly cooked, juicy, and topped with melted cheese and crisp lettuce on a nicely toasted bun. Another standout was the "don't be cheeseese" grilled cheeseburger. The onion straws with that spicy ketchup were also a hit. For breakfast, the ham was real carved ham, not prepackaged deli nonsense, and the sandwiches were fresh and flavorful. The milkshakes are outstanding, with a huge list of flavor options like cookie butter, cotton candy, lavender, and pumpkin spice. A classic chocolate milkshake was thick, creamy, and topped with whipped cream. They also make shakes, desserts, and sell a variety of bulk candy. A customer loved the sweet tea and the Jr Burger and chicken tender meal. One reviewer noted they forgot the fries but the food made up for it. Seating is limited with one small table and about six seats at the bar. This place will definitely be in the regular rotation.
