Seems like there are a lot of hot and cold reviews for this place, so perhaps I ordered at the right time, but I was really impressed with my order here. We ordered close to closing time and got a half fried chicken with vegetable fried rice and buffalo wings with chicken lomein. The half fried chicken was one of the best I've had from a takeout Chinese place. The skin was crisp and the meat was hot and juicy. The chicken seemed to be very fresh since most places you can tell it's old chicken cause the meat is chewy and dry and the skin is way too tough. The vegetable fried rice was loaded with vegetables and the flavor was good. The lomein was also fantastic. The buffalo wings had great buffalo flavor (lots of places really screw up the buffalo flavor) but I think the wings were coated with too much sauce as they lost some crisp during transit. All in all, a great experience and would happily get the half fried chicken here again.

It's a little bit of a shady neighborhood in the evening and parking is sparse, but the food is very good and worth checking out. No dine in. Strictly take out.Parking: You have to circle around to find a spot.Wheelchair accessibility: No real access for a wheelchair.

Definitely recommend My China Cafe in Hackensack on Linden Street. Have ordered a few times from this place online and orders have always been good. Fast service and big side portions for the price point. Can’t go wrong with their General Tso’s Chicken with chicken fried rice. The House Special Fried Rice is also really good. The Beef w. Broccoli is one of better ones I’ve had when compared to other Chinese food places in the area. Have ordered the Chicken w. Broccoli in the past but is ok.Overall, some of the best Chinese takeout places in the Hackensack area.

As you get pressure of price impact by inflation lately, this place still carries out under $10 decent dishes like steamed dumplings and noodles. The quality of dumpling and noodle is believed to maintain high level of Southern Chinese style.

My favorite Chinese food joint in Hackensack. Love their hot and sour soup and their house lo mein.

Called in an order of dumplings 30 minutes ahead. Got to the restaurant and they hadn’t even got started on the order. Place is also disgusting

Just Ordered pork and broccoli, fried plantains, chicken lo mein and peppered beef for the family about 30 mins ago. No one ate the food because it tasted horrible. Ordered food here because my regular place doesn't deliver but the fried rice isn't even fried rice just flavorless boiled rice with pieces of veggies in it. The dishes we ordered had more boiled tasteless veggies thank protein. $40 dollars in the trash. Never again

Sorry my fellow Foodies who rated My China Cafe with 4 or more stars, I think maybe Covid has removed your taste buds. I waited until my 2nd time ordering food from here to review. #1 message to management : change the frying oil once in a while. SOOO easy to tell when they don't as fried foods come out dark, hard crunchy, and with an odd taste. I ordered the Triple Delight with beef, shrimp, and chicken. greasy mess that you could see the oil. Satay chicken sticks were over cooked, hard on the outside, and greasy dark meat chicken on the inside. Fried pork dumplings had an odd meaty center. I've eaten this type of "fast food"Chinese food for over 35 years at many, many places all over NJ and sorry this is one place that I will just skip a meal before ordering again.
