Gennaro's Italian Restaurant & Tomato Pies

we have eaten at gennaros in the past and its also been good. my parents and brother/sil also grt food there often. however we will not be going back again ever. and i reccomend others avoid them as well!!! we ordered takeout from them two nights ago and there was a small ROACH COOKED INTO MY LINGUINE AND CLAMS DINNER!!! THANK GOD I SAW IT RIGHT AWAY. I contacted the restaurant and was told bc we ordered through doordash they couldn't do a refund without the owner who was not there. the woman who I spoke with had me sent them photos of the bug and she forwarded them to the owner and took my information. I have yet to receive a refund or a phone call from them. so clearly they do not really care about operating a reputable and CLEAN restaurant let alone care about their patrons. steam clear of them!

Stopped for lunch with hubs and friends. We we're looking to share a pizza, this is NOT that place. Yes, personal size for dine in. We opted for sandwiches. 2 ordered the roast pork, broccoli rabe, sharp provolone and both finished and raved how delicious 😋 Other 2 of us ordered the cheesesteak with LTO, red wine vinegar and olive oil, I added light mayo. The rolls these sandwiches were served were fantastic 😋 The sammies were NOT "packed" with fillings like a cheesesteak joint. Nicely presented with homemade potato chips. Quality of ingredients is huge because I can't eat a lot. The red wine vinegar and olive oil was top notch. I use red wine vinegar almost daily 😋 I would definitely go back for the same meal, about 1hr from my home and worth the trip 😋

We truly love Gennaros. We always have Luis as our server who is so warm, friendly and efficient. The hostess was also lovely. I must be gluten free and their pizza can be made on a special crust. My favorite is Italiano. It has figs, goats cheese, tomatoes, arugula, balsamic, prosciutto, onions. We also split a huge salad with cheese, nuts, apples etc. Service was great and we ate in their covered patio that was just lovely

Disappointed with our experience. From the moment we walked in as a party of 7, it felt like we were an inconvenience. The manager asked multiple times if we had a reservation, and the attitude was cold from the start. We confirmed before ordering that we could split the check 3 ways—yet the waitress brought one check and acted annoyed when asked to fix it… twice. Even more frustrating, the manager didn’t seem to know how to correct the receipts. Unprofessional and unwelcoming all around. We won’t be back.

We have been to Gennaro's for dinner a couple of times. It never disappointments us. The service is excellent and the food is outstanding. We had a selection; chicken marsala; veal parmigiana which were both wonderful. We introduced the restaurant to our neighbors and I am sure they will return, as we will.

Our dine-in experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment we were seated, we felt discriminated against. We noticed other tables receiving fresh water glasses while ours were already on the table. Our food took over 20 minutes, while other guests who arrived later were served first. We were also not offered bread, unlike other diners. Even my children felt we were treated unfairly. We will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

Loved coming here in the past, but found it disappointing this time around. The pasta and clams was mediocre as was the fra diavolo shrimp. Not the same restaurant we fell in love with a couple years ago 😔

A surprise 90!birthday party 4 course dinner for 45 people. Service was EXCELLENT. Food was served promptly and was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely. Cannot say enough about how well we were cared for It was a PERFECT evening

Had a surprise bday party there. Unbelievable attention to detail, Jamie was very pleasant and easy to work with.
The food was tremendous as always and the service was unbelievable. I just can't stress enough how the servers worked like a well oiled machine! And very pleasant and friendly during the entire time which is unheard of in that business.
Most servers are miserable and short patient with customers.
I highly recommend this restaurant you won't be disappointed at all.

Food is great here! The ambience is very nice. Nikki Salzano was my waitress and she really made the experience! Our whole group agreed she did a wonderful job.

The outdoor covered patio is lovely. The food was delicious and freshly made. The staff was friendly and very attentive.
