“My buddy talked highly of this place so I gave it a shot. In less than a month I've made the trip 3 times and can't wait foe the next. The owner and his wife are fantastic, welcoming, and super into thier craft. I say craft because these aren't generic combinations, theyre thought out combinations and flavors that work perfectly in whatever way you like. It's my favorite hot dog spot I've ever visited. I can't wait to go again!”

“I had a great experience at Maki Sushi while I was in town for work and happened to stumble in for dinner. I sat at the sushi bar and ordered the Sushi Deluxe, which came with 10 pieces of chef’s-choice sushi and a roll — I went with salmon and avocado. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and thoughtfully put together.

Pete, who is both the sushi chef and the owner, was excellent. We struck up a genuinely good conversation while I was eating, and he was friendly, complimentary, and clearly takes pride in what he does. Sitting at the bar felt welcoming and relaxed — the kind of place where you actually enjoy talking to the person making your food.

One small but really impressive detail stood out: Pete noticed I like a little wasabi with my tuna and offered me fresh wasabi without me even asking. For a sushi spot of this size, having fresh wasabi on hand is always impressive — it’s a great little treat, and usually something you only get if you know to ask. That kind of attentiveness says a lot.

The quality of the fish here is excellent. My favorite bite of the night was the salmon belly — rich, buttery, and delicious. The sushi here is definitely geared toward a more classic and approachable palate. It’s simple, clean, and done well, and the quality of the fish and service really shine.

I’m really glad I found this place and will absolutely come back next time I’m in the area. Thanks for a great experience, Pete — maybe next time I’m in town you’ll have some toro on hand just for me.

“Hasbrouck Heights pizza is an excellent place. Their pasta dishes are amazing as are their chicken and eggplant. Love the margarita pizza. Delivery is quick the people on the phone are nice. We order at least twice a week. I only have one comment that’s a little negative. I view times I ordered and didn’t receive the correct item I asked for. To mention a few: On one occasion I ordered Broccoli and pasta. I asked if I could have broccoli rabe instead and was told no problem. That didn’t happen. This happened twice. On another occasion I ordered eggplant Rolatini but received eggplant para. Not terrible but not the right order. Today 8/10 I ordered a Cold sandwich Roast Beef club with bacon and L/T. But I received a Hot roast beef sandwich instead which I don’t love. The person on the phone repeated to me what I ordered she said Roast Beef Club. I usually order late when I come home from work. So only a few times I called back to get the right order. I can’t wait another 45 minutes for the correct order. I don’t know if it’s the person taking the order pushing the wrong item or the people cooking not making the ordered items. My delivery bill says Hot Roast Beef which I would never order. Would never had mentioned.”

“My husband and I happened to walk by today and saw they were open! It was a soft opening, so we decided to get coffee and I’m so glad we did! Their iced latte and chocolate croissant were both delicious! My husband said the espresso was also very good. The inside is beautiful and the large outdoor patio is such a nice feature. The staff was super friendly and even gave our daughter a chocolate chip cookie :) Can’t wait to go back!”

“Great coffee, We stopped at Roast’d coffee shop before heading to NYC, great experience; the pour over coffee was fantastic. Johan was quite friendly explaining different coffee beans as he roasted them and brews the coffee. I tried the espresso as well brewed from 3 different beans, very tasty. Now this is our favorite place to have coffee when traveling to NYC. We talked with local customers, so good vibes and recommendations. Awesome place if you love good coffee.”

“Celebrated our 5 year anniversary here and it was intimate and so romantic! We sat in a private area with a little booth and fireplace. It was everything you need for a romantic dinner with your spouse. Food was amazing HIGHLY recommend the Bacon wrapped scallops and the Risotto! We also ordered the Ivy Inn specialty pie, So good! & for Dessert you want to try the Cheesake with Gelato! Delicious. We cant wait to come back to celebrate more milestones or just have a night out.”

“I am so so with Chinese food. Usually picky and really don't like many places. I LOVE their General Tso's chicken!! I mean LOVE it!! We now do a Chinese food night 1x a week just because I NEED this dish in my life!! Their pork fried rice is not greasy and soggy. Also their fried cheese wontons are awesome. Again.....not greasy which is a tough one! Very happy I found this place completely randomly!”
