Loved the cherry ice cream!
They may have good ice cream but the service has been bad/rude. This year, since the egg shortage, their ice cream started to taste artificial. Getting in and out of this place by either foot or car could easily get people/car hit - they are right on 27, and they try 0 to organize their line or parking lot. Today, we noticed that they added bars for people to line up, but when it was our turn to buy ice cream, they would not take us, regardless of us standing in line for 5 mins, with only 1 family in front of us, taking forever to put in their order. After we waited, they then took the family behind us (the lady and her son did not even know what they wanted), and completely ignored us for whatever reason. My husband tried to ring the bell, but the lady looked at him and ignored him intentionally. This will be our last time visiting this shop. Good luck for their future, for how they treat their neighbors.
Ice cream is good. Service is dry, outdated, and a bit on the rude side.
Been there couple of times already. Love the small-town cash-only hole-in-the-wall vibe. Cash-only could be inconvenience for some, but once you know the game, you’ll be ready with cash next time! Love both soft serve and hard ice creams. Friendly staff too.
Terrible service. The small Asian man behind the counter is rude and has zero patience. He literally rings a little bell to rush you. Ice cream was mediocre and way overpriced. Save yourself the trouble and go to Thomas Sweet instead.
Also - cash only. It’s 2025 guys.
Do you really live in a small east coast or Midwest town if you’re not eagerly awaiting the seasonal opening of the local ice cream shop? Closer to Edison than HP proper, this no-frills ice cream shop in a barn-shaped building serves up some excellent ice cream. They offer everything from soft serve to dole whip.
Some notes for when you go. There’s a limited amount of parking spaces, a small amount of picnic benches for seating, they only take cash, and there’s always a line. It goes pretty quickly though! I highly recommend walking there if you can!
Dietary restrictions: They have dairy free and sugar free options.

Great ice cream! Only thing to say is beware the bees if you’re going to sit at the benches and eat!

This is a seasonal outdoor ice cream stand. It is what it is. But it's always crowded at prime time. 'Nuff said

The place, prices and atmosphere are decent...we tried milk shakes that had more milk and less ice cream in it. I would still go there for a scoop or two once in a while

They have the best lemon italian ice. Perfect balance between frozen and creamy texture. I make sure to come here whenever I am in town. Better than anything else I've tried on the east coast! **Cash Only!**
Dietary restrictions: Italian ices are dairy free.
Wheelchair accessibility: 100% accessible although YMMV for counter service height.

Loved it. Creamy and delicious. Not a big fan of the vegan cookies & cream, tasted funny to me each time I tried it. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-15
