The Sandbox in Highlands is such a fun shore spot. You’ve got food trucks, cocktails, live music, and a beach view all in one place. We loved being able to hang out by the water with a drink while listening to live music. It’s also dog-friendly, which makes it even better for a day out with your pup. Definitely the perfect place to spend a summer day.

The sandbox is such a cute little piece of the Jersey shore, conveniently located next to the Sea Streak ferry station in Highlands, NJ. You can find a small assortment of food trucks offering lobster rolls, steak sandwiches, pizza and more. There is a bar for the 21+ crowd. There is a stage on the beach to watch a live band play. A fun experience for shore.

Such a cool spot! The Skinny Flowers Brewing team had our summer outing at Sandbox. We reserved a private cabana right in the sand with picnic tables, Adirondack chairs and cushioned seats. Unbeatable views of the water, the sunset and NYC skyline, and amazing drink and food options. The entire crew was so friendly and helpful. We did not want to leave!
