The food and service were great. Since it was requested whether or not it was a special occasion, I was surprised that my friend was not offered something with a candle on it. Just a lot of Happy Birthday.
Dine here a few times a month, always a pleasure ! Service was a little off this time probably because it was "HoHoKus's Days." Everything was great, the bartender must be new he appeared to be a little inexperienced in that drink order took forever and my usual martini was a poor pour and was watered down as I watched him make it he let it sit in the shaker for over 5 minutes before pouring attempting to make other drink orders. So great to have the HoHoKus Inn in our neighborhood. The food is good, and it's nice to be able to order a drink instead of doing the BYOB thing again. The service is one of the strong points in my opinion. It's professional and friendly. The option to sit outside on a beautiful night is also a plus.
