Vito's & Son Italian Deli has an incredible smell and a wide range of products on display. The staff greet customers warmly and the owner welcomes everyone. The breakfast sandwich is enormous, tasty, and good for breakfast or lunch; many say it is the best sandwich they have ever had and even consider a transatlantic flight just to try it again. The Soprano and Sinatra sandwiches are also popular, and the Freshest mozzarella is praised as the freshest. Cannoli on the side add to the experience. Other menu items such as the Vito’s hero, chicken sorrentino, and fresh mutz hero are described as delicious, though the bread didn’t felt fresh, or maybe because we ordered online for pick up they might have sat a bit too long on the counter. The chicken cutlet is crispy, thin, and well seasoned, and some even make it into a milanese at home. Many students, including a grad student at Stevens Tech, use Vito's as a regular lunch spot. However, orders are frequently incorrect. The owner is very nice, but the woman who sits at the desk and answers the phone is exceptionally rude, hangs up with no apology or offer of resolution, and there is no training for staff making mistakes. Delivery apps refund money, but customers are often stuck without meals consistently.
