“Popped in as a first timer after a business meeting nearby. The young lady who took my order explained the brand and the food to me and offered suggestions; she didn’t ridicule me for not knowing what I wanted. I got the original burger combo figuring it would be good since that’s what they started with, and it did not disappoint. The sauce for the fries was free and tasted great! I will definitely be back! I called to see what actually happened to the burger. That will remain a mystery however, the manager told me to come down and they’d make me fresh one. On top of being extremely pleasant and accommodating, they made a surprise one for my dog!! These guys are great and deserve to be applauded!“

“Great burgers at a great price. Make sure you always look for the burger of the month. It always rotate monthly. Once you order, they bring the food to your table and clean up after you leave. They have 2 types of ketchup: regular and jalapenos. The small fry is very filling for me. I was debating between a regular and small and decided with the small.

Next time I want to try the milkshakes as everyone who ordered there got one and it looked delicious.“

“Came with friends to Portside to surprise my friend, Michael Cappetto, who was performing that night. Was never here before but I have to say the food was awesome, as was the entertainment! Michael is an amazing singer / guitarist and I highly suggest going to Portside to see him and have some fantastic food!“

Owner was also very friendly. Even though Keansburg is desolate due to the season, this restaurant is still open and it's worth the trip to either eat in or order out from here. “So for food we decided to order the corn bread, Mac & Cheese, Burnt ends and brisket cheesesteak.

The corn bread was awesome. So fluffy and full of flavor.

The Mac and cheese was delicious. I found myself adding a piece of burnt ends along with it, and you couldn’t go wrong.

The burnt ends were the star of the show. Incredible flavor and were nice and tender.

The only somewhat disappointing item was the cheesesteak. It was good but not something I probably would order again.

Food… tomato sauce is top shelf… but if you are featuring your sauce and you fill a dish surrounding 2 small pieces of eggplant( which was cooked perfectly BTW) you need to provide some BREAD for dipping… not everyone likes garlic bread ( at $10) avoid the “ wood fired” artichokes… they are “ canned” and nothing special at $14! The Short rib plate with butternut squash is amazing… a little on the sweet side… but something special for sure.
The Meatballs…. Ypu can make better at home small orbs of deep fried beef… very little flavor very crunchy…. Not a good choice!!! Food is a mixed bag… some good… some not so good… we will return for the cocktails…. Wine? No way!!! Meatballs??? Eat a tennis ball!! Artichokes??? Make them yourself at home! Music is WAY too loud…. Pretty pricey tab for 7’out of 10 food. Pizza was made with top shelf ingredients but bottom crust was “ flubbery” needed a few minutes in a hot pan. This place is among the best choices for cocktails in Sayreville… but needs work to be worth multiple“
