The Beacon was so accommodating since I planned my entire wedding dinner within a month. I needed as few headaches as possible. Edna coordinated everything! The staff was very polite and attentive. Everyone LOVED the food and atmosphere. I will be coming in regularly to try the other dishes on the menu and maybe a little line dancing.
I absolutely loved my experience at The Beacon. Love the history and how they integrated part of the old with the new. The Shrimp and Grits were a modern day twist on an old recipe which worked out beautifully. The scallops were also recommended which didn’t disappoint. I highly recommend this place. You have the beautiful waterfront location the historic vibe, and excellent food!

Customers enjoyed a great happy hour menu with drinks. The lake view is amazing, reminding you of a "down the shore" feel with a great huge bar. Crab cakes were very good with a corn sauce. Oysters were different with a great unique presentation, and excellent. An oyster shooter was amazing looking and a great tasting Bloody Mary. A buffalo chicken wrap and a shrimp ceasar salad were so good. The restaurant is dog friendly.
