as someone who understands how difficult it is to run and work in a restaurant i keep a very open mind, however i was extremely disappointed. food is ridiculously overpriced for the terrible quality. the atmosphere was filled with entitlement, especially from management. i saw a woman who appeared to be a manager, she deliberately ignored customers who had concerns and waived off her young employees who very obviously needed assistance. i have also heard whispers of the way the restaurant is run and WOW. the owners definitely need to pay more attention to the managers. just overall inappropriate and unkind.

We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at The Windlass and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We were having a Christmas wedding and the Windlass was decorated so nicely for the holidays! It fit the vibe perfectly! Donna helped us plan our dinner every step of the way, promptly helping us with any questions we had. The waitstaff was excellent, food was delicious, and the lakefront location was gorgeous! We highly recommend the Windlass for any dinner party you may be having or even just a night out. We’ve also eaten at the restaurant on a normal night and had a great experience as well!

3rd time coming here and it’s great every time. The atmosphere, the food, the drinks and the service are great! Steak night on Monday's are amazing! So much good quality food 2 glasses of wine and 2 salads! We will definitely be back!

I love this place! The food is delicious and the vibe is peaceful! The staff are super friendly! I recommend a reservation, make sure you ask to sit by the big windows so your able to look out at the lake! They have a lovely outdoor seating area that's closed in, during the summer the windows are open. They also have these picnic style tables on the dock which have sliders on them so you can sway back and forth! A definite Gem!

The cheesy garlic bread was to die for but the calamari was not good at all. Very dry and tasted like nothing. Would go back again. The service was great and the atmosphere was very pretty.

We rented out the room overlooking the lake for a party. It was a great experience and we had a wonderful party. The food was top notch. We even had a pasta station.

Labor Day weekend lunch. No resi, and two seated at high top in the bar, almost immediately. Most excellent. So whatever heck happened to the quality of the food? Hot chicken sandwich- anything but hot, zero flavor and definitely a pre-breaded previously frozen chicken patty. Wish it was a chicken breast. What happened to the excellent sushi chef in the back, near the pizza?
