Great ambiance, cozy, great food, awesome cocktails, this place is a hidden gem in Jersey City. Loved the 100 yr version of the Old Fashion, loved the octopus appetizer and above all the service. Will definitely be back soon.

I celebrated my friend’s birthday at this cute hidden speakeasy bar in Jersey City. This candlelit lounge is dark and moody with art deco vibes.

The food was good, we ordered the Jerk Lamb Dumplings, Wagyu Sliders, Wings and Truffle Fries. We also had a couple of drink’s the Number Forty-one, Number Thirty-Four, and Number Thirty-six were strong, tasty, and had custom ice blocks.

My only reason for giving this bar a 4 star rating is the cocktails are expensive starting at $20.00 per drink?. The fact that Jersey City is charging NYC prices is ridiculous.

Overall, I definitely would recommend this speakeasy for girls night out + date night to grab one cocktail and take cute pictures.

I might have already left a review for this fabulous venue. We had visited multiple times for specialty cocktails and gourmet appetizers. We loved it so much - the food, the service and the Art Deco lounge vibe - we held a private party here.
Gabriel, the owner, was very accommodating and his staff provided 5-star service. The food was excellent as usual - Vietnamese Meatballs, Wagu Sliders, Coconut Shrimp, Crispy Sriracha Brussel Sprouts and Charcuterie/ Cheese board. The cocktails were superb.
I highly recommend this hidden gem in the basement of Better Days brasserie (formerly Bareburger). You will not be disappointed!!

Their selection of craft cocktails is amazing. It is hard to pick off their signature cocktail menu. Everything we had on the menu was delicious.

This is a really cool bar / speakeasy located conveniently on Grove Street. The atmosphere and seating is really nice and has an upscale vibe. We were able to quickly find seating on a weekday, but not sure how easy it would be on a weekend.

The drinks were really well done and the details were very nice like the glassware quality, and custom ice blocks. I’d definitely visit again. Only thing is it may be a bit more expensive than a drink at any neighboring bar, so this would be great for a special occasion.

A good speak easy below the restaurant "Better Days". Drink cocktails can be expensive or match to new york prices for cocktails, but are worth the craftsmanship. Atmosphere feels wonderful and pleasing to the eyes in a modern art deco.

I asked 5 times for hot sauce (not exaggerating) and was ignored until I walked up to the server who was joking with a coworker to ask the fifth time. We had just about finished our food at that point but it was for the principle. Not to mention I paid $12 for a terrible vodka soda. $60 for two apps and one drink with that service? LOL. Bad place don’t go

A friend of mine and I got together to get drinks at this hideway speakeasy vibe, cocktail bar. It is located inside the Better Days Eatery downstairs. When I walked in, it was dimly lit and super cute. I loved the vibe! We had a great bartender named Eliel, and he was great! We started with the vesper martini and the French 75. The Vesper was so good and my friend enjoyed her French 75. My friend ordered the Crab and Chorizo Croquettes and Truffle fries, which she enjoyed. Later, a DJ came, and he was good. We had a really good time at this spot!

Came through for a date night with the wife. Worth a trip. Our server was excellent. The manager knew his bourbons. The food was tasty.Loved the Jerk Lamb dumplings. I could have eaten 100.

The ‘Manager’ or whoever was at the door helping folks to get tables is an outright RACIST! My friend was visiting from London, my wife and I took him to 143 and bloke sent us back/told us to wait for 20 mins, behind us for four white women whom he obliged with a table. The unfair treatment because we were brown skinned? Not sure if he understands the demographics of Jersey City, if I didn’t have a friend visiting from London, I would have gone to his superior!
