The cocktails are unique and delicious. A hole in the wall location.

I asked 5 times for hot sauce (not exaggerating) and was ignored until I walked up to the server who was joking with a coworker to ask the fifth time. We had just about finished our food at that point but it was for the principle. Not to mention I paid $12 for a terrible vodka soda. $60 for two apps and one drink with that service? LOL. Bad place don’t go

A friend of mine and I got together to get drinks at this hideway speakeasy vibe, cocktail bar. It is located inside the Better Days Eatery downstairs. When I walked in, it was dimly lit and super cute. I loved the vibe! We had a great bartender named Eliel, and he was great! We started with the vesper martini and the French 75. The Vesper was so good and my friend enjoyed her French 75. My friend ordered the Crab and Chorizo Croquettes and Truffle fries, which she enjoyed. Later, a DJ came, and he was good. We had a really good time at this spot!

Came through for a date night with the wife. Worth a trip. Our server was excellent. The manager knew his bourbons. The food was tasty.Loved the Jerk Lamb dumplings. I could have eaten 100.

The ‘Manager’ or whoever was at the door helping folks to get tables is an outright RACIST! My friend was visiting from London, my wife and I took him to 143 and bloke sent us back/told us to wait for 20 mins, behind us for four white women whom he obliged with a table. The unfair treatment because we were brown skinned? Not sure if he understands the demographics of Jersey City, if I didn’t have a friend visiting from London, I would have gone to his superior!

Had the pleasure of working with Gabriel and team for a private party at 143 Social, and we couldn’t have picked a better spot. Good communication leading up to the event, great at handling our special requests, SUPER helpful team on site on the night. Multiple guests commented on the quality of the food and drinks and how attentive all the staff were. Big thanks especially to Dan and Juan who consistently went above and beyond to keep everyone happy. This team couldn’t have done more for us

Tried this spot for the drinks. Definitely a great drink menu. Tried the 25 and 29. The 25 had such a subtle sweetness. The 29 had a nice fizzy sweetness. Both were delicious. Our favorite app was the beet hummus. Super creamy with crispy chickpeas added. For dessert, the white chocolate creme brulee was luscious.

Top notch - top notch cocktails, atmosphere, and service. Even if you’ve had it all, come here to try your favorite cocktail as you know it, enhanced, or with a twist. Some of the best sprits with unique and thoughtful mixology. You won’t regret it - nothing like it in the area.

Very cute speakeasy bar with great atmosphere in Jersey city. Went here for some drinks and a quick snack. My favorite drink was number 23, it had a “fall margarita” flavor. The appetizers were tasty but small and it’s hard to fit them in the table but overall it was a great experience.

highly recommend reservations. I called in to ask if the speakeasy could accommodate our party as we were making our way over in the Uber and the host told us it was first come first serve for small table tops on the side. when we entered three minutes later, the host barely acknowledged us, pretended we never spoke otp and grunted responses hastily as if he couldn't be bothered. I would love to come back another night, am sure the drinks are good but can do without the attitude. many wonderful alternative speakeasies in the area.

Booked a reservation at 143 Social after dinner at Porto Leggero as it was less than 10 minutes away (driving). It was somewhat "easy" to find parking since it was pouring outside so that's a win, ha!143 Social is located in Bareburger so as soon as you walk in, walk straight, make a right and head down the stairs. It's pretty tucked away. I absolutely loved the vibes at this speakeasy. Since I made a reservation on Resy (highly recommended), my bf and I were seated right away. Seating is intimate if it's just two of you. If you have a larger group, they'll sit you at a round table or booth.Let me rewind back to the vibes at this speakeasy! Of course I love the photo op when you first walk in. Then the live DJ (we visited on a Saturday night), the decor, the diversity... I just love it all. Speakeasys are typically snug so if your a group of 2, you'll be seated pretty close to the tables next to you. In JC, everyone minds their own business so just sit back and enjoy yourself!Yes, they serve light bites but we were there for the cocktails. My bf and I are newbies when it comes to the speakeasy scene so we ordered things we normally wouldn't go for just to try it out. My faves: number twenty-eight, twenty-nine and thirty. Basically the Low ABV section on the menu, haha!I would definitely visit again. Didn't have to leave NJ for a NYC type night out!

Made reservations, arrived hungry and ordered about 2 different drinks to start which turned out to be terrible, but i thought maybe the ones I picked just weren’t my preference. However, what truly through me off was how rude the bartender was when I tried ordering those drinks. Immediately after I asked him for the bill, and took my money elsewhere.
