This was truly an amazing experience from the moment we walked in to the drinks at the bar and it's Service to the hostess, to the seating, to the Service by Pablo and his staff. The food was simply outstanding, delicious, amazing! Thank you all!
We celebrated our anniversary which happened to be on the second Tuesday of the month, which is Jazz night at 87 Sussex! From the minute we walked in, we were given special treatment and an ‘Anniversary' menu just for us! We thoroughly enjoyed our appetizers — the Shopska Salad and Hearts of Palm — both were excellent and freshly prepared. Our entrees, Berkshire Pork Chop and Atlantic Halibut, were prepared perfectly. Everything was amazing. All of it, no exaggeration. There aren't a million things on the menu, which to us, indicated that they were more concerned with the quality of what they served & it showed from presentation to flavor profile. The ambiance was warm and romantic, perfect for an intimate birthday. They even have menus that specify the occasion you're celebrating if you mention it when making your reservation— a beautifully thoughtful touch.
