BEWARE! GHOST KITCHEN and TERRIFYINGLY AWFUL FOOD ! When you place an order the website doesn’t tell you that this isn’t even a location anymore but a BASEMENT KITCHEN at the bottom of dark staircase!!!! It’s a miracle I even found it! Had to ask several other businesses who share the space before I found it! The food was disgusting! Burnt onion rings and BLUE, maybe rotten fries?!?! (See pics). The onion rings were too burnt and yet the burgers were almost raw they were so underdone and also looked so unappetizing we just threw it all in the garbage to not risk food poisoning! $60 bucks for this garbage! I used to love Bareburger, man did they go down hill! Never again!

Undercooked cheeseburger, chicken sandwich that was just a bunch of nuggets on a soggy brioche bun, and burnt fries. This was through delivery so maybe in person is better. I know their Manhattan locations are nice, so this was a huge disappointment.

This review is for Griddlerz, which is the delivery only side of their restaurant. Tldr: We waited 2 hours and never received our order, and had no dinner that day.
I placed an order on Seamless with them at 7:50pm. An hour into waiting we received a call from the Seamless driver that the food was taking too long. I said we were ok to continue to wait. Another hour later we get a note that our order was delivered, but when we went downstairs we saw nothing. The driver sent a “food delivered photo” that was just a black screen. Then we see that Seamless canceled our order entirely…
At this time BareBurger - and all other restaurants in Jersey City - were closed. And while we were refunded by Seamless, we could not make alternate dinner plans. This was Valentine’s Day as well.
Before the restaurant’s closing time we had tried to call the restaurant multiple times to check in, and there was no answer at any time. This was a very disappointing outcome which sounded like it was some bottleneck of the kitchen. Very dissatisfied that there was not even someone to answer the phone while the restaurant was open when we tried to call and rectify this. Service is not up to par, take your business elsewhere.

If you want a burger that is bare, this is the place! Just received my takeout order. It’s so bare it’s like they were 86 on everything. I cannot believe i paid 16 + delivery + tip for this travesty.

The ambience and the food were great ?, but unfortunately our service was a big disappointment. At first I thought maybe she was just having a bad day - that can happen. After all, we are all just human. But then I noticed that at another table, just a few meters away, she suddenly appeared completely different: friendly, communicative, smiling and very service-oriented.
However, when she returned to our table, she was again in a bad mood and uninterested. When I was paying, she then asked if something had been wrong because I hadn't left a tip. I then spoke to her about her behavior. She acknowledged it without a word and left.
I find such behavior inappropriate. Unfortunately, we remember this negative experience more than the beautiful atmosphere and the good food. Really a shame.

I don’t do reviews but this pissed me off. I guess they think if they change their name Griddlerz or Naked Bird it’s going to change the quality of the food. I ordered a fried chicken sandwich and a cheese cheeseburger, somebody please tell me what this is. Clearly, mystery meat, also how do you mess up a basic cheeseburger the taste made me legit throw up. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE!
