The overall experience was ok the team member taking the order was kind although she'd gotten my order wrong. I felt a little unwelcomed and probably would not be going back to purchase from there again. Aside from that my rice was a little hard and although the beans were welled seasoned they were a little under cooked.
We tried Columbia Tavern on a whim last night and the food was amazing! We had the nacho appetizer to start and everything was SO FRESH! I had the Honey Siraracha Chicken tenders and a Clam Chowder for my meal, both were to die for! My better half had the Columbia Burger- and this guy knows his burgers he grew up at a Black Angus cattle farm in Vermont-and he LOVED his burger. Atmosphere, staff, and vibes were all great, we even went back for brunch the next morning all the way...
I came at night to meet a friend and the bartender was eyeing me like I was one of the many crack heads that hang outside. I found him to be disrespectful and I think part of the reason is because I don’t dress like a drug dealer or have a knot of cash to flash around. Very tempted to give the place ONE STAR but then I remember the morning bartender who I patronized a few times being a kind humble young man. I also remember it’s a Black business in a area facing extreme gentrification....
