I've been visiting Departed Soles since I moved to Jersey City in 2023. It's my favorite hang here by a long shot. The beer is amazing and especially varied -- the lagers here are the best I've ever had, the gluten-free beers are as great as the others, and the recently-launched NA beer is solid. The staff (led by the owner Brian + taproom manager Matt) is always welcoming and helpful with recs. Also love the outdoor seating on a nice day, the live music on Fridays,...
Awesome owner, space & original beers. Only downside? Bartender Matt is selective with his hospitality, especially if you’re not a regular… I don’t need attitude served with my drink, learn to treat everyone equally
