This review/rating reflects my experience at this restaurant over the past few years. Prior to 6-12 months ago, dining here was always a solid experience. The food was fresh and tasty. My past two visits are my last, as prices have gone up and quality/quantity has gone down. I completely understand increasing prices in this economy, but coupling that with fish that isn't fresh and smaller amounts of food just leads to disappointment.
DomoDomo never disappoints! The sushi is incredibly fresh and beautifully presented, and the hand rolls are next-level delicious. The atmosphere is sleek yet cozy, and the service is always on point. A standout spot for sushi lovers in Jersey City!
The food quality and set menus they have are really solid for sushi and quite delicious. I feel like it gets a little pricy and that’s why I reviewed them at a 4 VS 5 stars as I know I can get equally as good of a handroll in the city for a substantial amount less, but overall this is a good staple in Jersey City. The udon and miso cod are also pretty tasty.
