Braised pork rice could have been delicious, but the old and new rice were mixed together, and every bite had hard clumps of rice that needed to be spit out, which really ruined the appetite. I’d rather they not offer free water and just focus on making the rice properly. Seriously, do they really need to save this little bit of money?

I came to shop from NYC was very hungry and I tried Japanese Korean , but the beef noodle soup the meat they use it’s supposed to be soft , beef for stew so easy meat other places near stuck in my teeth and not soft . Highly recommend this place . I came here Tuesday October 22 , 2024 veggies were tasty too and perfect taste , I will bring my family here .

A hidden gem in the Newport mall food court serving authentic Chinese/Taiwanese noodles and dumplings. I don’t understand how this place has a rating under 4 stars. ??♂️
We ordered the Taiwanese beef noodle soup, chicken “juicy” (soup) dumpling, and spicy wontons. The noodle soup was rich in flavor, the noodles had a lovely chew, and the beef portion was substantial and great texture.
I’ll definitely be back!

I took my girlfriend to eat here since it looked interesting. Now I call this place "Barely Okay Cafe" and she jokes that going there is one of the few times I've let her down.
None of the items we ordered looked anywhere near as good as they did on the menu. The food was really mediocre. It looked and tasted like it was having a rough day. There are much better places to eat for similar prices.

So confused why this place has less than 4 stars. The food is delicious and the people are so kind. I’ve always had a great experience ordering from here. I highly recommend the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. This restaurant is my favorite of the cafeteria mall options.
A not-so-secret gem at the food court in Newport mall. The Taiwanese beef noodles always hit the spot, with huge chunks of tender beef and fresh bok choy. A close second are the pork chop noodles, with a super rich, milky soup and crispy pork cutlet. I also love their rendition of 卤肉饭 braised pork rice which mixes in bits of firm tofu and mushrooms. At $15/bowl, this is a perfect quick meal and I’m always satisfied and happy!

The soup in the soup dumplings was very tasty — savory and a perfect balance of flavors. The chicken dumplings were soft and also had a great flavor. I’d highly recommend either choice. The scallion pancakes had a good flavor, but were a bit thinner than how I prefer. Overall, a great meal and would recommend to anyone in the area.

The quality of the dumplings is below average in NYC and Jersey City area. It is ok for a quick bite, but definitely not authentic Chinese food.
