Great experience. The ladies were very knowledgeable that work there and the food was really good. I probably won’t get the Mac and cheese with a meal because I could barely finish it. Loved the sorrel drink though a lot.

I was planning on getting jerk chicken until I saw a picture on the review that the chicken is stringy. That means they use lab grown chicken. No chicken is stringy. It's a shame.

Before I go to work I stopped by to get a beef patty … today the beef patty was super dry the chicken taste like its been sitting there since the night before it’s just unacceptable especially when the prices are high.

I wish I can give these people a zero star rating. They charged me for a small plate of ackee with 1 small banana & 2 small yams and 1 dumpling for $15.99 +1.50 for the yams. The ackee had barely no salt fish in it. And when I called I was greeted rudely. And they put me on mute so they can talk amongst themselves. I will never eat there again.

I ordered a curry goat. It was nothing but bones in my plate. And my rice was hard and not fresh

Wynter Morgan has never been to a Caribbean restaurant or establishment they werent being dismissive just normal. 🤣 im writing this review because i overheard her phone order 3 months ago, Too many soft people in this world, the food is good, the atmosphere is filled with jamaican flavors. Cant trust anyone that gives Brooklyn steak house 5 stars

This is the worst worst worst Jamaican food I ever buy. I didn’t eat it it’s a shame this store make Jamaican food look bad. And the soup was from yesterday smfh

Food was Ok for a while but the service and the quality of the food went down and the prices went up the owner is terrible he has no kind of management order he raises the prices because he’s the only Caribbean restaurant the in area but the quality of the food hasn’t been address I use to buy food there every day but now it makes no sense cause u get less food but u pay more. Why is a cornmeal Porridge $13.00 and its the most expensive porridge I have ever seen an it doesn’t taste the same as it use to 2 years ago smfh yall need to fix it.

Total trash!!!!!!! They like to play favorites with how much they serve you and you will NOT be satisfied with what you order! The employees are dirty, unlikable and unfriendly and I highly unreccomend this restaurant!

Very disappointed in the customer service at this location. The owner and employees are very dismissive. They don’t value their customers. I placed an order VIA telephone, I was very specific with my order as I am when I place any order over the phone. I even repeated my order several times to
The employee who accidentally put my order in wrong, which I understand things happen. However, when I called the store to inform them I got the wrong order the owner insisted that his employee put my order in correct and was adamant that he could do nothing to correct the issue. As a customer I was simply asking to receive the correct order. I won’t be returning to this location. I enjoy the food but as someone who works hard to make a living I don’t appreciate wasting my money!

I have lived in the journal square area for the last 10 years and golden krust has ALWAYS been a go to spot for a quick dinner meal.
Well last night I ordered 2 small soups(which they need to go ahead and rename as yam and chicken bone soup), 2 veggie patties, 1 spicy beef patty and 1 jerk chicken patty. I don’t know if that golden krust location is under new management but if it isn’t it might be time to go shut it down.

Needless to say, I had to get my stomach pumped in the wee hours this morning.
Very very disappointed and with that being said- I’m telling my ppl in the area don’t go to that location. If you want golden krust either take the path into NYC or go to Irvington or East Orange.

Jersey city golden krust is for the birds!!!
