Our very first time here. A very nice place to hangout and enjoy good food and beer. The food was good and really fast prepared and served. Service, on the other hand was slow. Our server (Mario D) was totally distracted having a long and repetitive conversation with another customer that looks like a regular or at least an acquaintance. We have to ask other servers a few times for the things that we need. Nice sports bar atmosphere, just the music was a little bit too loud for me.It was a good experience overall and I'll definitely give it another try.

Love this place, neighborhood bar and hard to keep me from coming back every weekend. However, even though it's a sports bar I have tried many many nights to get them to turn off their spring training baseball highlights for the biggest game of the week and they always say "someone is watching it" or that they'll ask the manager and never do. Just annoying because I always leave to go home and watch the game ehen I would stay for two hours spending money at the bar.

I hosted an engagement party here for ~55 people and the venue, service, and food were all perfect. The management staff was easy to work with as well and made the experience as seamless and fun as possible.

A group of 30 of us had celebrated my wife's birthday at Greene Hook and we did not have the most pleasant experience even after spending over $3,000 at this restaurant.First off, I had worked with the owner Rich to plan out all of the details for the evening. We had reserved a couple of hours and were promised a semi-private space that would be large enough for our party. We had even checked out the space earlier in the day and one of the staff members ensured their would be ample space for our group. Upon arrival, they had reserved two small bar tables for our group in a small space with random people all over the place. I had escalated the issue right away to the manager Joe, who had been quite rude throughout the night and brushed the issue away stating that the space would be big enough. As the night went on, he clearly saw we were lacking space so he gave us 3 additional tables. This was still much smaller than the space we had expected.The reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because of the drinks. We had unlimited drinks and the quality of the drinks was good but the service, not so much. We were also promised 2-3 servers during the event. When we got there, 2 servers were present and taking orders but as the night went on, there was only 1 server taking care of us. Because of this, service was slow and it took quite a while for some of our guests to get a drink.We had selected around 10 food items to be served during the party. The food was mediocre and was just typical bar food, nothing special. Not sure if it was the food, or if it was because one of the servers who claimed he was sick to his stomach but a couple of guests got the stomach bug after the event.I want to also call out the manager Joe. Since we walked in, he was running around and acted as he was too busy to handle our group. He did ensure he will take care of us and make sure we were happy but it didn't feel that way. He made many rude comments to several guests which made people feel uncomfortable. A lot of the staff just seemed as they were rude and did not know how to accommodate such a large group.Overall, I would stay away from this establishment if you are thinking of spending a good amount of money for your next event. Seems as we were promised a bunch but actually delivered minimal. There are a bunch of other restaurants who will ensure their guests have a positive experience.

I've been going to Greenw Hook for so many years!! It's a great place for brunch or to have lunch or dinner or to have drinks or to hang out and play darts, speedball, and board games. It has a little something for everyone. The food has also gotten even better over the years. I love just coming for a drink and getting their appetizers- they are huge and great for sharing! The service is great - usually very easy to get seated right away. They have high chairs and were able to put my stroller in the corner at the back. If your baby is learning to walk, it is pretty spacious and you can probably walk around with your baby if they get a little fussy and you can't get outside because it's a bit too cold in the winter. Everyone was super nice and understanding.

There are so many positive things about the mighty Greene Hook. First off, the atmosphere is great, and the space is also welcoming and clean. Theres even outdoor seating on a patio elevated above the public sidewalk. This place is great for a quick lunch, a full sit down dinner or even a night out for a sporting event that you can watch on their multiple TV screens. Theres darts, shuffleboard and other board games available here as well. Second, their food and bar exceed expectations. The menu seems to always be going through upgrades and changes, which shows someones in the wheel house paying attention looking out for the next best dish. The bar is grand in its own right and their mixologists keep it moving. I dont ever see anyone waiting for a drink here, no matter how busy they are. The service is also just as grand and takes the cake. Everyone in uniform here has their eye on something at any given moment, which to me is a great way to ensure the customers are being taken care of. Rich does a great job of putting the pieces of the puzzle together here day and night, and Mario along with the rest of the Team do a great job at making sure you have a fun quality experience. I am "hooked" on this place for sure and will be 100% going back. Highly recommend.
