About Kat Khao

Kat Khao offers a unique and flavorful dining experience with a focus on Japanese and Vietnamese cuisines. The menu includes standout dishes such as summer rolls, which are highly praised for their exceptional taste, and the beef sandwich and chicken katsu sando, both appreciated for their tender meat and creative presentation. The restaurant also serves excellent scallop crudo with coconut milk sauce, Chilean sea bass, crab garlic noodles, and stuffed wings, all noted for their delicious and well-executed flavors. Guests often enjoy the crispy eggplant, wagyu pho, and the Ube Tiramisu dessert, which is considered a highlight. The service is friendly and attentive, making the experience enjoyable. However, the atmosphere can sometimes fall short due to clutter and lack of effort in decor, and the space can be uncomfortably cold on chilly nights. Overall, Kat Khao is a creative spot offering innovative dishes that appeal to those seeking a casual yet memorable dinner with bold flavors.

We got 2 noodles and 1 dessert. The noodles are both very creamy and has unique flavors from the food/ingredients themselves. Like garlic and crab. A bit salty, but considering the relatively small portion, not too salty.

The taro dessert is very good. Many layers and mixed texture. Love it.
Exceptional experience at Kat Khao from start to finish. The food was the standout — the fried pork cutlet with salad was perfectly crisp and packed with flavor, and the beef pho with soft egg had a rich, comforting broth. Service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere struck the right balance for both a relaxed dinner and catching up with friends.
I’ve been searching for good pho in NJ/NYC and this one is my favorite. Broth is not oily, not too sweet, good balance of salt and spices. Noodles are soft and chewy and the wagyu makes it extra special. The chicken wings and crab noodles are also very tasty!
