Their escalators are are always out of order (maybe they need new ones) and they have only 2 elevators at the extreme ends which is a problem during peak hours.

Had to pick something up in the Newport mall so figured we would stop in for lunch to try Melt Shop (there was a level up coupon for $6 off your first time visit too). I ordered the classic grilled cheese and added caramelized onions and mushrooms. I also got a cup of tomato soup. Total for both was $7 to with the coupon it was a $1 meal...can't beat that deal. The tomato soup was pretty good, but nothing to write home about. Better than a can but I've put together way better homemade recipes. The grilled cheese was VERY buttery; I wish I asked for light or no butter actually. It was a good comfort food sandwich, but also feel like I could have made something better at home that wasn't as greasy. Decent option and no real complaints, just not blown away!

The parking is just ridiculous. the lot is empty and they are charging $3 for 0-2 hours and then it's $5 for 2-3 hours. Are you kidding me?

Had the chicken tenders hot and with parmesan buffalo sauce. Also ordered the salad! The staff was efficient and in delivery, the good arrived still warm and on top. One small concern was that I ordered cheesy tater tots and they arrived sunken with cheese spilled through out the bad. It was delicious still and very out of control. The prices are decent for melt shop and for the mall's growing improvements for the food court. I'll definitely get snacks here again.

You'll pay about $20 for a vegan bacon cheeseburger and fries. I probably wouldn't be opposed to this if it weren't just smoky tempeh and a mushy veggie patty. Soon enough you'll be able to get the Impossible Burger at Burger King only a few windows down for half the price. I'd argue even Johnny Rockets is a better deal for a veggie burger, fries, & fountain drink for less than $15. Vegan fast food is still fast food. Hipster flare or not, I don't find the prices here to be justified. I still come by every now and then to help keep this place around because I like their mission statement but I'd rather just go to Taste of India, Taco Bell, or Hummus Grill. Check 'em out but don't be shocked if you're not in love with your meal.
"Vegan Burger" is not vegan if the bread is covered in butter.Also, if a customer asks for vegan burger, it's pretty much assumed that the customer is vegan, why wouldn't you ask to put cheese on the tots?

The place in found in Newport mall food court. Ordered original chicken strip with melt sauce and fries with cheese melt. It was okay. Strip tasted fresh chicken and breading was okay. Sauce was okay complement. Fries potato tots with melted cheese was okay. Nothing special, overall it was okay. I wish I had ate at other places. There are so many good places in food court, unlikely I would eat here again.

Just opened at Newport Mall November 2018, and what a great addition to the food court! I ordered the roasted veggie melt sandwich and added caramelized onions and it was really delicious only thing is that it's a bit pricey, the sandwich was the size of a piece of sliced bread and cost $9.89. At most it should've been $7 strictly due to the size, not quality or taste. In that regard, it's well worth the price tag. Plan to be back!

Great place to get your grilled cheese fix! I got the Nashville hot chicken sandwich with cheesy tots. The sandwich was super spicy in a good way. The only thing I didn't like was that the spices were on top of the bread. The bread is usually the one thing that cuts through the heat, but not here.
