it has been tough finding a great Ramen spot in JC, but I think Ifinally did! I had the Volcano Miso Ramen boy was it delicious! if you are reading the menu the thin noodles bowls are like angel hair pasta, the thick noodle is the regular ramen thickness we are mostly used to.

My favorite place for ramen. I've tried almost everything on the menu, and it's all delicious! I'm very happy that there is a large selection of non-spicy ramen. The staff are always friendly, and the interior is nice!

Wanted to try a different ramen place and ended up at Muteki. The environment, fast service was absolutely amazing. The spicy kimchi ramen and tempura shrimp were absolutely delicious. I rarely walk out of a ramen place feeling so full and my goodness I had the best nap after. Chris assisted me and gave me even better suggestions next time I come by. Appreciate the hard work and your service to the team and Chris ! (Sorry in the picture. I was hungry and destroyed the tempura immediately. )

I stopped in to get lunch. When I arrived I walked in and was greeted. I was sat and served by Kelly and Kelvin and they were nice! I ordered the Thai Green Curry Ramen. It came out in about 15 minutes. I enjoyed the ramen and it's flavors! All in all a good experience!
Muteki Ramen in Jersey City is such a lovely little find. It’s a small, cute spot tucked on a side street just off York, and it really feels like a cozy escape from the busier main roads.
I ordered a ramen ($19) and a pork bun ($9). At first glance, the prices felt slightly high, but when you think about the location—literally a stone’s throw from New York City—it’s actually very reasonable. The same meal across the river would easily be close to $50, so for the area, I think it’s a great value. The food itself was delicious. The broth was rich and comforting, and the pork bun was super tasty and well done.
Service was excellent. My waiter was attentive, kind, and very helpful, especially since it was my first time there and I wasn’t sure what to order. He made a great recommendation. The food also came out super fast, which I really appreciated.
The decor is another highlight. Inside, it genuinely feels like you’ve been transported to Tokyo—intimate, stylish, and warm. It’s the kind of place where you can just relax and enjoy your bowl of ramen.
A couple of small downsides:
• There’s only one unisex bathroom, which can be a bit of a wait if it’s busy.
• Parking in the area is a bit challenging, so plan ahead if you’re driving.
Overall, though, I loved my experience at Muteki Ramen and would absolutely come back. Great food, great service, and a fun Tokyo-style vibe right in Jersey City.

Absolutely love this spot! The ramen here is top-notch — rich, flavorful, and authentic. The black garlic tonkotsu is my go-to every time — perfectly balanced and incredibly satisfying. Easily the best ramen in Jersey City! 🍜🔥

Quiet ramen shop. A little pricey for ramen but the noodles were very good. Menu is a little hard to read but overall our order to go was complete.

I wanted to love this place because it's the closest thing to a traditional ramen shop (a la Ippudo, Ichiran, etc.) that DTJC has. Alas, the experience was as mixed as a controversial Sundance film.
Our Muteki Wings had good texture, but were supposed to come with a yuzu miso sauce--but it didn't taste like yuzu or miso, just lots of thick sugar.
My Spicy Tonkatsu Ramen was as bland as a potato salad with raisins: no spice, no umami, just a boringly unflavored broth with nice noodles. On the other hand, the Yuzu Shio Ramen was a winner and satisfied a deeply unaddressed part of my appetite that hasn't gotten a good yuzu-based broth since NYC's Mentoku Ramen closed (RIP forever and ever).
I'll likely come back...but with less excitement.

Great place, quite nice Japanese music with a chill vibe. Food was excellent quality and huge portions, come here with an appetite! Noodles were extremely tasty and plentiful you can tell these are made fresh! The Karage chicken was outstanding so don’t forget to order this when you go here.
Staff kept an eye on us the whole time and water was refilled instantly each time with a quick check to ensure all is well. You won’t keep me away from this place, get in there now!
