Didn't eat. Killed two hours here rather easily. Immediately had two open spots at the bar but we were lucky in our timing, this place can get full fast. Never had to wait for a new drink, bartenders were on top of everything.It's a local stop in Jersey City, though, so be prepared for the accent and the attitude. If you're not from Hudson County, it might seem a little rough, but this is a great spot. Lean into it.Parking: If you don't parallel park then go to a mall, you don't belong here.

Full bar, good selection of beer, but here they pour Guiness properly. Cheeseburger is recommended. Great selection on jukebox. Amiable bartenders.Outdoor patio in the back. Sometimes they light the fireplace on cold winter nights.

I really like the dimmer lights and wood all around makes a very atmospheric stay. Also the tables made from spools works perfect. Rich options of drafts, good burgers and fries.

One of those establishment taverns. It doesn't appear to have a sign and if I hadn't seen the picture of the front on Yelp, I might have missed it. I think they have a few parking spots behind the restaurant but we found a spot not too far away on the street. We went on a Monday night to get a burger. Not crowded. Bartender took our order - and was super friendly and nice. Very small "menu" written on small chalkboard by bar. We had 2 cheeseburgers with fries. They were really good and probably best tavern burger I have had in North Jersey. Meat was juicy, bun held up and fries were really good too. I did not find them greasy (as mentioned in another review) but maybe they just changed the oil. Overall, if I was looking for a good cheeseburger, this would be a good choice.
