Went here for the Norway vs Brazil game and I had a fun time. Ive rode past this place many times on the 80 bus so I decided to check it out. First off, its not a small bar, it is large and special. It is also clean. The mens bathroom is clean also. The bartender is a master at his craft. Every drink wheather its soda, water, or beer he does with care. Hes very friendly. I ordered the corn beef sandwhich. It was amazing. 2 slices of fresh rye bread with plenty of beef with mustard....

God knows that at 49 have been to a fair share of bars in my life 😅 and the New Park tavern holds a very special place for me. IMO, atmosphere is unbeatable: woody, quiet, clean, friendly and it has an outdoora section. Service is friendly and quick. And the food is simple, bar food, but DELICIOUS. You can't go wrong with the burger. I have been to this place countless times and it manages to be very consistent with all its attributes. I plan to be back many many...

Stopped by here while passing through Jersey City, and it was a pretty solid find. The place has that old-school, local bar feel, which I liked. Food was good — nothing crazy, but definitely hits the spot.

Service was alright, not super fast but not bad either. It felt more like a locals’ hangout than a destination spot, if that makes sense.

Glad I checked it out, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to come back. Still, a good stop...
