Finally got around to trying this place since living around the corner for a year… and I wish I tried it sooner. I got the drunken mushroom udon and it was SO GOOD. Can’t wait to try some more of the other vegetarian options!

Food was phenomenal and fresh. For 2 it was basically a $100 lunch. But I would definitely come back. It was clean food and a clean facility. Laid back and comfortable atmosphere. It’s not the cheapest chicken but it is REALLY REALLY good. I had curried tofu supreme with added chicken. My son had the short ribs. We did the lunch special with the rice pudding.

Ordered through uber eats, loved the coconut curry! Basil thai rice was also good but felt a bit dry! Overall loved it!

A great spot on a beaten path. The owner is the chef and the manager. He is so passionate about food and customer service. Works with a smile on his face no matter how busy and makes really tasty and interesting dishes. A must try if you are around, he will make sure to understand your tastes and suggests a dish accordingly and it will blow your mind!

It was a nice experience. If you want to enjoy authentic pan asian cuisine, this is a nice cozy place. It’s not a very large place for dine-in, but the atmosphere is warm, making it a great spot to enjoy a relaxed meal.
Recommendations: Chicken and Shrimp dumplings and Thai Basil Fried Rice.
Mushroom Drunken Udon Noodles were good, I have had better though.

inwheel Garden is an absolute gem! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm and welcoming. The food? Incredible! The Mac & Cheese Dumplings were out of this world — crispy on the outside, cheesy and delicious on the inside. The Coconut Curry Deluxe was so flavorful — creamy, rich, and packed with fresh veggies and tofu. And the Mushroom Drunken Udon? Perfectly cooked noodles with a great mix of mushrooms — so savory and satisfying.
Everything tasted fresh and homemade, and you can tell they put a lot of love into their dishes. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. If you’re in Jersey City, you HAVE to check this place out. I’m already planning my next visit! 5 stars all the way

I was looking for something light to eat with a cozy atmosphere and found this spot.The restaurant was nicely decorated with soft jazz music. Everything was great until the food arrived. We ordered sampler dumplings (2 aloo and 2 shrimp) ($14) and bourbon bacon fried rice with extra lemon grass chicken ($28.50). Hot tea ($4). The dumplings were okay, the Aloo had way too many edamame and was falling apart. The shrimp dumpling was mildy flavored. The tamarind sauce that accompanied the aloo dumplings was very flavorful, however. As for the rice, it was just a confusing flavor combo, not enough fresh vegetables and the rice was slightly too cooked. I don't even know. All-in-all, the food was not worth price. At all. We left not satisfied, so that was a bummer.
I'd still recommend here for something light - tea, dumpling or other things on the menu. But this place was not worth it to me. Way too pricey. Oh and they charged $1.50 for a tiny container of hot sauce. I was over it.
Staff was friendly and place is clean.
Management, I think you have the right idea for a quaint spot. The flavor profile of the menu could be way better and more thought out for quality execution.

Stumbled upon this amazing place with wonderful atmosphere, great food, and fair prices. Great vegetarian options and solid ingredients and well-cooked. If you're in the area, say at the Liberty Science Museum, take the short walk over...it's totally worth it.
Kid-friendliness: We had two small kids and no one had an issue.

I wish I took pictures - I can’t say enough good things about Pinwheel Garden and Dumpling! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and offered spot-on recommendations. I ordered the Thai Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings, the Coconut Curry with Udon Noodles, and the Maitake Ramen, and every bite was bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. To top it all off, I indulged in their Strawberry and Caramel Rice Pudding, which was the perfect sweet finish to an already amazing meal.
The atmosphere was cozy and the overall experience was fantastic. If you’re looking for a place with delicious food, warm hospitality, and memorable dishes, Pinwheel Garden and Dumpling should be at the top of your list! Five stars all the way.

Absolutely delicious! A little pricey to be one of our weekly go-to restaurants, but all three of our dishes were perfectly executed, well balanced, flavorful, and awesome - even packaged in to-go containers and eaten 30 minutes later at home.
