Rajbhog has not changed anything at all since it opened and I am very okay if not delighted it’s a place that stays the same gives everything as is and authentic. Simple and delicious because if I have to pass through another panmasala infused fusion wannabe menu I might just leave the country so much faltu pan places on Newark Ave that this place brings you back home

One of the goto place for chaat items in Jersey City area. Price is reasonable. Samosa chaat and papdi chaat were good. But samosa was average, felt like a day old one. Service was good. Street parking is not easy to get and it’s paid street parking. Beware that they add service charge (3.99%) for any card transactions.
I’d give 0 stars if there was an option. Tried this place 3 times now, food is stale here all the time. They don’t even heat it properly before serving. And it tastes so weird, some of the items that had potato stuffing in it tasted sour and had a very weird texture. Had to sadly throw away all the food after tasting it once, it was not worth eating it. Waste of money never coming back here.

Always check your stuff after you have ordered. They tend to cheat, give you less and charge you the same. They know what they’re doing cause when we confronted them they acted like they didn’t but they are aware of it. The food is mediocre except for few things. They don’t even give you chutney anymore if not asked. Looks like the management has changed and it sucks!

Never would recommend any one to order food from here they are kind of rude and not professional. When ordered 100 samosa and asked for plates they are like we are not cutlery shop. never expected such unprofessionalism behaviour. Will never order any party ordered sure.
I waited a day or 2 before writing this post. I ordered 2 daal tadka and 10 rotis. We found a piece of cardboard in our food. When I called the place, they expected me to bring the food back before refunding my money. They acted like this is a normal instance, which makes me question their hygiene even more. I will never eat here again.

It feels like a restaurant in India the moment you walk in. Beautiful and nostalgic.This is the ONLY place where they make chai from scratch when you place order. Always piping hot and fresh! No compromise. Every item in their thaali also is fresh and homemade. Best Gujarati food on the street.They deserve 6 stars just for that!

Purchased sweets and snacks today and found that discrepancies between original bill and Visa card swiped statement and requested details and store representative informed us that it’s cash only price. If we’re using the credit card then they will round up all items near to a dollar(eg:$4.99 to 5$ and $2.49 to 2.50$) plus 3.99% extra charges for all items and then bag fees of 0.25$ plus actual state tax of 6.5%(though we had kept all items to our own bag).We reported the issue to Visa card merchant compliance team about this kind of surcharges and improper payment processing for all customers
