Still in Covid isolation, I’m still confining myself to take out for two more weeks. Therefore, I can’t comment on table service or ambiance. A neighborhood discussion group recommended Teppan among Jersey City Japanese restaurants. We had good Japanese food delivered, but not the best in town. However, it is an economical choice, less expensive than other Jersey City Japanese restaurants.

We had meal there and the food was very good! But I’ved been very surprise that the hostess was running after me telling me that I did not give enough tips. I’ved give 15% and I told her but she seem to to being satisfied.

Came here for hibachi with a fairly large group - we had a reservation but for some reason, the hostess didn't want to seat us because we were missing one, citing a reason that she had a group of 15+ coming in. But, isn't that the whole point of a reservation system? To allocate seating arrangements for larger groups? I get it, not the first restaurant that requires everyone to be there to be seated, but referencing another party that had no effect on us was bizarre. On to the dining experience itself, the waitress was not a happy camper and did not seem like she wanted to be there (mind you, the restaurant just opened for the night, so she'd just started her shift). We were all catching up and took a bit to look at the menu and she was annoyed when we told her that we weren't ready to order. And when we did order, she kept confusing who had ordered what and was not handing us the right drink/dish. Slightly annoyed that tip was included because service was poor. The hibachi chef did his thing but unfortunately, I found the food to be overly salted. He also messed up my order and only gave me chicken when I had ordered chicken and shrimp. Luckily, he had a backup stash and was able to grill a portion up for me. Disappointing experience, will not be back.

Me and my family arrived 830pm on a Saturday, we were told that it will be closing soon but on their website it says 11pm. We still got a table at hibachi grill and we were 6 of us to celebrate my Dad’s birthday; our orders were taken (btw they messed up our order, they gave us chicken but we asked for a steak; repeated our order thrice but still incorrect) and while waiting for more than 30 mins, another group of 3 people came in and the manager went to our table and said that they need to add 3 more people since they can seat 10 people and its about to close. We were all surprised because we chose this place to have a family dinner and were about to start with our hibachi and they will add another group to our table?! Of course we didnt agreed to it. Were pretty sure theyre just being lazy to open another grill and get another cook, since we were 6 and our grill were pretty full already. Our cook was nice and entertainer, he tried his best to made us happy despite of what happened. We never got a water refilled, never offered a desserts after meal, in short.. we never got a real service except from our cook. Salute to our cook I forgot his name and to the other staff especially to the lady manager, you need for customer service training and knowledge.

Visited with family during our stay in Jersey City. Overall service was excellent. Hibachi chef was very good and interacted with us. We all had Filet steak which was good but I’ve had better at other hibachi restaurants. Portions were very large and everything else was excellent.

The pork dumplings were little pillows of heaven! The tasty shrimp dumplings, delicious! But the main star was the ramen I had for lunch. I would go back everyday for months if I could . Everything about it was just perfect. The waitresses are so friendly & kind. Thank you!

What else i can say ? So yummy , so good , perfecto !!! We order tons of foods ... just 3 of us and manage to finish all ... the waitress are friendly and good smiling face . The manager Janet are attentive and professional . The fish are very fresh . The shrimp tempura are perfect and not greasy .

The place was practically empty on the teppan tables. They sat was fast. However the service could be better! Our red Wine was very hot, and also the ac on the restaurant was very hot. The waitress kind of lost and after ordering everything we were on our own. Also something i didn’t like is the way of pushing food to the guest since is a teppan they want to charge for people don’t eating. At the end was a ton of food and was to much wasted. Got to say that the chef did an outstanding job and food flavor was good.

Me and my wife decided to travel into jersey city for sushi and hit this spot we had been to while working there . The rolls are abundant and the pepper tuna melts in your mouth, highly recommended. The dirty gin martini are terrific also .

Went here for lunch. A great deal. Very low price for all you get. And teh best part is the food is really good. Had a great chief who did the full "show" but was also very friendly. Really enjoyed the experience
